UTILITIES iLERETOFORL ACQUIRED IN SAID PORTION OF SAID STREET,
AVD PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF ME FEE IN SAID LAND, AND
REPEALING 1j L ORDIAuiNCES IN CON=F`LICT HEREIVITh, AIM PROVIDING
TIL4T THIS ORDINANCE STHtLL BECOIT, EFFECTIVE IIaIIIEDIATELY.
Ird_TEREAS, the Fort Worth Independent School District owns all of the
property abutting on that portion of Refugio Avenue from Twenty-first Street
to a point one hundred fifty (150) feet south of the south line of Twenty-second
Street, a portion of which is used for school buildings, and the portion across
said Refugio :avenue being used for playgrounds and other public purposes, and that
it is necessary for children attending the said school to travel from one portion
of the said school grounds to the other across said street; and,
I'1IMEAS, such street constitutes a menace to the puclic and the interest
of the public safety requires the closing and vacating of such street; NOW,
TH],3REFORE,
BE IT ORDA12MI D BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF T CITY OF FORT Iv7ORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION I,
That that portion of Refugio Avenue from Twenty-first Street to a point
one hundred fifty (150) feet south of the south line of Twenty-second Street be
and the same is hereby closed, abandoned and permanently vacated as a street or
public thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever.
SECTION II.
That the rights of all public utilities for the purpose of constructing
and maintaining service lines shall not be disturbed, destroyed, revoked or abrogat-
ed by any of the provisions of this ordinance, but said rights as above set out
shall remain in full force and effect.
SEC^lION III.
That the fee to the land in said street shall revert as provided by law.
SECTION IV.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
SECTION V.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from
and after the date of its passage.
