ORDINANCE ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON A PORTION OF GOODMAN AVENUE
AND PORTIONS OF SUNDRY OTHER STREETS, AVENUES AND PUBLIC PLACES
IN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS; DECLARING THE CONTRACT WITH
TEXAS BITULITHIC COMPANY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID IMPROVE-
MENTS FULLY COMPLETED AND PERFORMED; DIRECTING THE ISSUANCE,
EXECUTION AND DELIVERY OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF SPECIAL
ASSESSMENTS LEVIED AFTER GIVING EFFECT TO SUNDRY CREDITS HEREIN
AUTHORIZED AND ALLOWED AGAINST SOME OF SAID ASSESSMENTS; DIRECT-
ING THE CITY SECRETARY TO ENGROSS AND ENROLL THIS ORDINANCE BY
COPYING THE CAPTION OF SAME IN THE MINUTE BOOK OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, AND BY FILING THE COMTLETE ORDINANCE
IN THE APPROPRIATE ORDINANCE RECORDS OF SAID CITY; AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth, Texas, has heretofore entered into
a contract with Texas Bitulithic Company for the making and construction of certain
street improvements on the hereinafter described portions of streets, avenues and
public places in said City, to-wit:
1. Goodman Avenue: From the west line of Hervie Street to
the east line of Bourine Street, known
and designated as Unit No. 1.
2. Goodman Avenue: From the west line of Hervie Street to
the west line of Prevost Street, known and
designated as Unit No. 2.
3. Libby Avenue: From the west line of Prevost Street to the
east line of Hervie Street, known and desig-
nated as Unit No. 3.
4. Elizabeth Lane: From the east line of Lackland Road to the
west line of the Boulevard, known and desig-
nated as Unit No. 4.
5. McKenzie Street: From the south line of Avenue "J" to the
north line of Avenue "K", known and desig-
nated as Unit No. 9.
6. Ripy Street: From the west line of May Street to the west
line of South Main Street, known and desig-
nated as Unit No. 12.
7. Sappington Place: From the south line of Calmont Street to the
north line of Locke Street, known and desig-
nated as Unit No. 15.
8. Sydney Street: From the south line of Tarrant Road to the
north line of Forbes Street, known and desig-
nated as Unit No. 17-
9. Pecos Street: From the east line of Shaekleford Street to
the west line of Trentman Street, known and
designated as Unit No. 20.
WHEREAS, by sundry proceedings heretofore passed by the City Council
of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, including Ordinance No. 4451, a portion of the cost
of said improvements was levied and assessed against the respective properties abutting
on each of the above described portions of streets, avenues and public places and against
the real and true owners thereof; and,

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, has, upon
revieQ; found and determined that, in some instahces, in order to effect substantial
justice and equality, it is desirable and necessary to grant and issue certain credits
against some one or more of the assessments levied by Ordinance No. 4451, and,
WHEREAS, the street improvements hereinabove mentioned have been com-
pleted upon each of the portions of streets, avenues and public places hereinabove des-
cribed, and have been inspected and found to be in complete accordance with the contract
therefor;
NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS,
THAT:
I.
The improvements on each of the portions of streets, avenues and public
places hereinabove described be, and they are hereby accepted, and the contract with
reference thereto be, and it is hereby, found and declared fully completed and performed.
II.
The Mayor be, and he is hereby, directed to issue and execute in the
name of the City, certificates in evidence of the special assessments levied against
abutting property and the owners thereof for such improvements, and the City Secretary
is directed to attest same and impress thereon the corporate seal of the City, all in
accordance with the proceedings relating to such improvements and assessments. The
certificates shall be numbered, shall describe the property against which the assess-
ment has been levied, shall, where known, state the name or names of the true owners
of the respective parcels of property assessed and shall be issued in the amount equal
to the difference between the principal amount of the assessment and the amounts of
any credits issued thereon. The numbers of the certificates, with the property des-
criptions to be shown on the respective certificates, together with the names of the
owners of said property, the principal amount of the assessment, the respective credits,
if any, which are hereby authorized, granted and allowed against the principal amount
of some one or more of the assessments heretofore levied, and the principal amount for
which each certificate is to be issued after giving effect to such credit, if any, are
hereby enumerated and itemized as follows:
