ORDINANCE NO . D "~ 3~~~
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, AND ~ CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING A PORTION OF THE 5200 BLOCK OF WEST VICKERY
BOULEVARD, A 24 FOOT WIDE DRAINAGE EASEMENT LOCATED ALONG
AND ACROSS LOTS 12 THROUGH 16, BLOCK 13, HARLEM HILLS
ADDITION, AND A VARIABLE WIDTH DRAINAGE EASEMENT LOCATED
IN LOT 11, BLOCK 13, HARLEM HILLS ADDITION; PROVIDING FOR
;REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LANDS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
' SECTION 1.
THAT THE following be and the same are vacated, abandoned, and
permanently closed and extinguished as a public street rig'nt-of-way
and drainage easements, respectively:
A. That certain portion of the 5200 Block of West
Vickery Boulevard which is described by metes and
bounds in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorpo-
rated herein.
B. The 24 foot wide drainage easement located along and
across Lots 12 through 16, Block 13, Harlem Hills
Addition, and being more specifically described by
metes and bounds in. Exhibit "B", attached hereto and
incorporated herein.
C. The variable-width drainage easement located in Lot 11,
Block 13, Harlem Hills Addition, being more specifically
described in Exhibit "C", attached hereto and incorporated
herein.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated. public
street right-of-way and drainage easements are hereby released and
shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so
ordained.

Vacation of a Portion of Vickery Street R-O-[^l
Being 0.048 acres of land being a portion of West Vickery Blvd.,
a variable width public R.O.W., said 0.048 acres of land being
more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a 1J2 inch iron rod at the intersection of the
northerly R-O-W line of said West Vickery Blvd with the easter-
ly R-O-W line of Prevost Street, a 60 foot public R-O-W;
THENCE North 58° 33' 33" East along the north R-O-W line of said
West Vickery Blvd.174.55 feet;
THENCE North 66° 55' East continuing along said north R-O-W line
144.02 feet to a 1/2 inch iron rod;
THENCE South 62° 36' 26" West 337..58 feet to the POINT of
BEGINNING and containing 0.048 acres of land.

Description of a 24 Foot Wide
Drainage Easement
Being 0.115 acres of land situated in Block 13 of the Harlem
Hills Addition to the City of Fort Worth as recorded in Volume
388J6, Page 122, Tarrant County Plat Records, said 0.115 acres
of land being more particularly described by metes and bounds
as follows:
BEGINNING at a point being South 66° 55' West 1.71 feet from
the southeast corner of Lot 12, Block 13, said Harlem Hills
Addition, said point being in the northerly right-of-way line
of West Vickery Blvd., a variable width right-of-way.
THENCE South 66° 55' West along the south line of said Lot 12
and said northerly right-of-way line 29.55 feet;
THENCE North 58° 46' 27" West leaving said south line and said
north right-of-way line 219.77 feet to a point in the north line
of Lot 16, Block 13 said Harlem Hills Addition;
THENCE South 89° 58' East along the north line of said Lot 16
and the north line of Lot 15, said Block 13 in part 46.34 feet;
THENCE South 58° 46' 27" East 197.37 feet to the POINT OF

Drainage Easement
Being 0 014 acres of land situated in Lot 11, Block 13, of the
Harlem Hills Addition to the City of Fort Worth as recorded in
Volume 388/6, Page 122, Tarrant County Plat Records, said 0.014
also being a portion of a drainage easement as recorded in Volume
5643, Page 72, Tarrant County Deed Records, said 0.014 acres being
more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows•
BEGINNING at a point being the southwesterly corner of said drain-
age easement, said point being South 66° 55' West 37.90 feet from
the southeasterly corner of said Lot 11, along the northerly
right-of-way line of West Vickery Blvd., a variable width public
right-of-way,
THENCE North 00° 07° 30'° West 36.60 feet,
THENCE North 44° 29' 42" East 21.21 feet;
THENCE South 00° 07' 30" East 45.39 feet to a point in the southerly
line of the aforementioned drainage easement, Lot 11 and the
northerly right-of-way line of West Vickery Blvd.,

ward ~+5.s'3' to a point in said Lot 11, Block 13. All sub-
ject street and easement rights-of-way are as shown on the
attached map.
The subject street and drainage easement rights-of-way, acquired by dedication,
are platted but contain no utility facilities. The subject vacation request
is made in order to replat the vacated rights-of-way with abutting property,
to expand the building area, and provide more usable yard space.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no objec-
tions to this request provided the vacated rights-of-way are replatted with
abutting property. A satisfactory replat has been submitted.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that the
~- subject street and drainage easement rights-of-way be vacated as requested.

Recommendation
It is recommended that an Ordinance be adopted vacating a portion of the
5200 block of W. Vickery Blvd., the 24' wide drainage easement across
Lots 12-16, Block 13, Harlem Hills Addition; and the variable width
drainage easement on Lot 11,. Block 13, Harlem Hills Addition, as recom-
mended by the City Plan Commission. ~ APPROVED DY
