AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND
APPROPRIATIONS IN THE SEWER CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND IN THE
AMOUNT OF $121,149.00, FROM AVAILABLE FUNDS,FOR THE PURPOSE OF
FUNDING BELLAIRE DRIVE SOUTH AND ARBORLAWN DRIVE SANITARY
SEWER MAIN REPLACEMENTS; PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE; MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR
ORDINANCES; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for Fiscal Year 2015-2016 in the
Budget of the City Manager,there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Sewer
Capital Projects Fund in the amount of $121,149.00, from available funds, for the purpose of funding
Bellaire Drive South and Arborlawn Drive Sanitary Sewer Main Replacements.
SECTION 2.
That should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or
void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way
impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining
provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of all other ordinances and appropriations amending the same except
in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances
and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations
are hereby expressly repealed.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall take effect upon adoption.

Authorize Execution of Amendment No. 1 to City Secretary Contract No. 45872 an Engineering Agreement
with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., in the Amount of$121,149.00, for Bellaire Drive South and
Arborlawn Drive Sanitary Sewer Main Replacements for a Revised Contract Amount of$339,299.00 and
Adopt Appropriation Ordinance (COUNCIL DISTRICT 3)
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council:
1. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing the estimated receipts and appropriations in the
Sewer Capital Projects Fund in the amount of$121,149.00 from available funds; and
2. Authorize the execution of Amendment No. 1 to City Secretary Contract No. 45872 an Engineering
Agreement with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. in the amount of$120,649.00 for Bellaire Drive South
and Arborlawn Drive Sanitary Sewer Main Replacements for a revised contract amount of$339,299.00.
DISCUSSION:
On July 22, 2014 (M&C C-26873), the City Council authorized an Engineering Agreement with Kimley-
Horn and Associates, Inc., in the amount of$218,150.00 for Bellaire Drive South and Arborlawn Drive
Sanitary Sewer Main Replacements.
Amendment No. 1 will provide for the following:
• Design for two additional sanitary sewer junction structures for flow control and eight sanitary sewer
laterals within the Bellaire Drive South right-of-way.
• Design recommendations including rehabilitation of the existing 36-inch and 42-inch sanitary sewer and
replacement of the existing 42-inch sanitary sewer with 60-inch sanitary sewer.
• Cost projections for the various alignment alternatives.
•Analysis of the future flow projections from the Wastewater Master Plan.
• Construction phase services including additional shop drawing review and record drawing preparation.
In addition to the amendment amount, $500.00 is required for project advertisement.
This project will have no impact on the Water Department's operating budget.
MI BE OFFICE: Kimley-Horn and Associates Inc., is in compliance with the City's BDE Ordinance by

committing to an additional 12 percent on this Amendment No. 1.
The project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 3, Mapsco 89A.
FISCAL INFORMATION /CERTIFICATION:
The Director of Finance certifies that upon approval of the above recommendations and adoption of the
attached appropriation ordinance, funds will be available in the current capital budget, as appropriated, of
the Sewer Capital Projects Fund. The Fiscal Year 2016 Sewer Operating Budget includes appropriations
of$26,300,046.00 for the purpose of providing Pay-As-You-Go funding for Sewer Capital Projects. After
this transfer for Fiscal Year 2016, the balance will be $12,037,000.00.
