ORDINANCE NO. ~D
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING THE 12-FOOT
WIDE NORTH/SOUTH ALLEY LOCATED IN BLOCK 1, TRINITY OAKS
HOSPITAL ADDITION, FROM WEST MAGNOLIA AVENUE TO THE NORTH-
WEST CORNER OF LOT 2, BLOCK 1 OF SAID ADDITION; PROVIDING
FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDI-
NANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT the 12-foot wide north/south alley located in Block 1,
Trinity Oaks Hospital Addition, from the north right-of-way line of
West Magnolia Avenue north 180 feet to the northwest corner of
Lot 2, Block 1 of said addition, be and the same is vacated, aban-
doned and permanently closed as an alley right-of-way.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated alley
right-of-way is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent
owner as provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that easements are re-
tained for any and all existing utilities.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or-
dained.

IST1Iif~~'ty Oaks Hospital, owner of all abutting property, has requested that the
City vacate the 12' wide north/south alley in Block 1, Trinity Oaks Hospital
Addition from West Magnolia Avenue north 180' to the northwest corner of Lot 2,
Block 1, Trinity Oaks Hospital, as shown on the attached map
The subject alley right-of-way, acquired by dedication, is open on the ground,
improved, in use, and contains sewer and electric utility facilities The sub-
ject vacat==ion request is made in order to replat the vacated right-of-way with
abutting property to expand the building area, and provide more usable yard
space.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no objections
to this request, provided the vacated alley right-of-way is replatted with
abutting property, and the required replat dedicates/retains a utility easement
for the existing utility facilities A satsifactory replat, dedicating/retaining
the appropriate utility easement has been submitted
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that the sub-
ject alley be vacated as requested
Recommendation
It is recommended that an Ordinance be adopted vacating the 12' wide north/
south alley in Block 1, Trinity Oaks Hospital Addition, as recommended by the
City Plan Commission
