ORDINANCE ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON A PORTION OF MEADOWBROOK nRTVE
AND PORTIONS OF SUNDRY OTHER STREETS, AVENUES AND PUELIC PLACES
IN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXASy DECLARING THE CONTRACT WITH
METROPLEX PAVING Co. Inc. FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
SAID YMPROVEMENTS FULLY COMPLETED AND PERFORMEDg DIRECTING THE
ISSUANCE, EXECUTION AND DELIVERY OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF
SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS LEVIED AFTER GIVING EFFECT TO SUNDRY CREDITS
HEREIN AUTHORIZED AND ALLOWED AGAINST SOME OF SAID ASSESSMENTS;
DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY TO ENGROSS AND ENROLL THIS ORDINANCE
BY COPYING THE CAPTION OF SAME IN THE MINUTE EOOR OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, AND EY FILING THE COMPLETE ORDINANCE
IN APPROPRIATE ORDINANCE RECORDS OF SAID CITYD AND PROVIDING AN
EFk°ECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worths Texasa has heretofore entered into a contract
with METROPT.FX AVTN, .n_ TNC_ a for the making and construction of
certain street improvements on the hereinafter described portions of streetsp avenues and
ysublic places in said Citya to®~iita
MEADOWBROOK DRIVE From Loop 820 to Halbert Street, known and designated
as Project No. 021-23165, Unit I.
HANDLEYjDRIVE From 360.'south of Meadowbrook Drive to 360' north of
Meadowbrook Drive., known and designated as Project
No. 021-23165, Unit IA.

tivHEREAS, by sundry proceedings heretofore passed by the City Council of the
City of Fort Worth, Texas, including Ordinance No, ,$/~~, a portion of the cost of
said improvements was levied and assessed against the respective properties abutting
on each of the above described portions of streets, avenues acid public places and against
the real and true owners thereof; and,
wHEf~;AS, the City Council of the City of Fort ~'~orth, Texas, has, upon review,
found and determined that, in some instances, in order to effect substantial justice
and equality, it is desirable and necessary to grant and issue certain credits against
some one or more of the assessments levied by Ordinance No, 8495 , and
4~HE1~:A3, the street improvements hereinabove mentioned have been completed
upon each of the portions of streets, avenues and public places hereinabove described,
and have been inspected and found to be in comBlete accordance Vrith the contract therefor;

The improvements on each of the portions of streets, avenues and public
places hereinabove described be, and they are hereby, accepted; and the contract with
reference thereto be, and it is hereby, found and declared fully completed and performed.

The Mayor, be, and he is hereby, directed to issue and execute in the name
of the City, certificates in evidence of the special assessments levied against abutting
property and the owner thereof for such improvements, and the City Secretary is directed
to attest same and impress thereon the corporate seal of the City, all in accordance with
the proceedings relating to such improvements and assessments, The certificates shall be
numbered, shall describe the property against which the assessment has been levied, shall,
where known, state the name or names of the true owners of the respective parcels of pro-
perty assessed and shall be issued in an amount equal to the difference between the
principal amount of the assessment and the amounts of any credit issued thereon, The
numbers of the certificates, with the property descriptions to be shown on the respective
certificates, together with the names of the owners of said properTty, the principal amount
of the assessment, the respective credits, if any which are hereby authorized, granted and
allowed against the principal amount of some one or more of the assessments heretofore
levied, and the principal amount for which each certificate is to be issued after diving
effect to such credit, if any, are hereby enumerated and itemized as follows:

III.
When each of the certificates has been duly executed as hereinabove provided,
same shall be delivered to the Tax Assessor-Collector as part payment of the contract
price.
IV.
The City Secretary is hereby directed to engross and enroll this ordinaa~ce by
copying the caption of same in the Minute Book of the City Council of Fort Worths Texas,
and by filing the complete ordinance in the appropriate Ordinance Reeords of said City,
V.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage.

PROJECT N0. 021-23165, MEADOWBROOK DRIVE FROM LOOP 820 TO HALBERT STREET, to be improved by
constructing a seven-inch thick reinforced concrete pavement on a six-inch thick lime stabil-
ized subgrade and widening the existing roadway to sixty-feet. Concrete curb, gutter, sidewalk
and driveways will be replaced where specified.
