Hospital, has requested that the City change the name of Harris Street, between
A~besICTIRo~~~ale Street and Morphy Street, to "Hupfeld Drive," as shown on the
attached map. "
DMINISTRATION.~I

Hospital, Mr Stanley Hupfeld, on his fifth anniversary with the Hospital.
The Fire Department has stated that changing the name of Harris Street to another
name does not present a problem, however, the proposed new name, "Hupfeld Drive,"
could result in confusion, due to the uniqueness of the name and the probable
need to spell it for clarification All other reviewing City departments, along
with the Postmaster's representative, have raised no objections to this request.
The Traffic Engineering Division also has submitted a cost estimate (dated
4/'4/83) of $140.00 to replace the nameplate on four separate street signs The
applicant has agreed to defray such costs.
A public hearing is scheduled for today's City Council meeting, and all abutting
property owners have been notified.
Recommendation
It is recommended that, following the public hearing, an ordinance be adopted
changing the street name of Harris Street, between Morphy Street and West
Rosedale Street, to "Hupfeld Drive."
