ORDINANCE NO. ~ 9~ J
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, AND CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING THE 20 FOOT WIDE NORTH/SOUTH ALLEY LOCATED
BETWEEN LOT 9, BLOCK 44, FACTORY PLACE ADDITION AND
LOT 1-R, BLOCK 45, FACTORY PLACE ADDITION, FROM LOCKE
AVENUE NORTHWARD 120 FEET TO INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 30;
PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT THE 20 foot wide north/south alley located between Lot 9,
Block 44, Factory Place Addition and Lot 1-R, Block 45, Factory
Place Addition, from Locke Avenue northward 120 feet to Interstate
>Highway 30, be and the same is vacated, abandoned, and permanently
closed and extinguished as a public alley right-of-way.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated public
alley right-of-way is hereby released and shall revert to the
adjacent owner as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so
ordained.

The subject alley right-of-way, acquired by dedication, is not open on the.
group and contains no utility facilities. The subject vacation request is
made in order to replat the vacated right-of-way with adjacent property, to
,~_•__ _• expand the building area, and provide more usable yard space.

It•-i•s~~•~the--opinion of the Real Property Department that the rights and
interest of the Cfty in the alley denoted in this request has no monetary
~aalue, if vacated. Other reviewing City Departments and private utility
companies have raised no objections to this request, provided the vacated
right-of-way is replatted with adjacent property. A satisfactory replat has
been submitted.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that the
subject alley right-of-way be vacated as requested.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating the 20' wide north/
south alley in Block 44 and 45, Factory Place Addition, as recommended by
the City Plan Commission,
