R ~. ~. 1 -, ~.~~ ORDINANCE NO . $ I AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, AND CLOSING AND EXTINGUISHING THE 15 FOOT WIDE DRAINAGE EASEMENT LOCATED IN LOT B-R, GRIEF ADDITION; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THAT THE 15 foot wide drainage easement located in Lot B-R, Grief Addition, said easement being more particularly described by metes and bounds in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein, be and the same is vacated, abandoned, and permanently closed and extinguished as a drainage easement. SECTION 2. That the fee to the land in the above described vacated drainage easement is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained. The subject drainage easement, acquired by dedication, is platted, but contains no utility facilities. The subject vacation request is made in order to consoli- date the subject easement property with adjacent property to expand the building area and provide more usable yard space. I`t is the opinion of the Real Property Department that the rights and interest of the City in the drainage easement denoted in this request has no monetary value., if vacated. Other reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no obje_cta~ons to this request. Recommendation . it is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating the 15' wide drainage easement in Lot B-R, Grief Addition.
