AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING THE 1500 BLOCK OF HUNTER STREET, A WIDTH OF SIXTY FEET, FROM ISHAM STREET SOUTH TO WORKS STREET; THE TEN-FOOT WIDE EAST/WEST ALLEY LOCATED IN BLOCK 29, TOWN OF EDERVILLE ADDITION, FROM LOOP 820 RIGHT-OF-WAY EAST TO HUNTER STREET; THE FIFTEEN-FOOT WIDE NORTH/SOUTH ALLEY LOCATED IN BLOCK 30, TOWN OF EDERVILLE ADDITION, FROM ISHAM STREET SOUTH TO WORKS STREET; AND THE TEN-FOOT WIDE EAST/WEST ALLEY LOCATED IN BLOCK 30, TOWN OF EDERVILLE ADDITION, FROM HUNTER STREET EAST TO THE AFORESAID NORTH/SOUTH ALLEY; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LANDS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THAT the following be and the same are vacated, abandoned and permanently closed as public street and alley rights-of-way: A. The 1500 block of Hunter Street, a width of sixty feet, from Isham Street south to Works Street; and B. The ten-foot wide east/west alley located in Block 29, Town of Ederville Addition, adjacent to Lots 1-6 and 9-10 of the aforesaid block, and extend- ing from the Loop 820 right-of-way east to Hunter Street; and C. The fifteen-foot wide north/south alley located in Block 30 of the Town of Ederville Addition, adjacent to Lots 1-8 and 9-10 of the aforesaid block, and extending from Isham Street south to Works Street; and D. The ten-foot wide east/west alley located in Block 30 of the Town of Ederville Addition; adjacent to Lots 10-13 and Lot 9 of the aforesaid block, and extending from Hunter Street east to the aforesaid north/south alley. SECTION 2. That the fee to the lands in the above described vacated public street and alley rights-of-way is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owners as provided by law. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. r ,;,ti n SECTION 4. Bower, with the written consent of all abutting property owners, has requested that the City vacate the following• Isrr~al)iN dThe 1500 block of Hunter Street a width of 60' from Isham Street south to Works St., ~TRAT(~1 The 10' wide east/west alley in Block 29, Town of Ederville Addn , adjacent to Lots 1-6, 9 & 10, from Loop 820 right-of-way to Hunter 4 N • ISTRATiO Street, ~~ES-(ZC) The 10' wide east/west alley in Block 30, Town of Ederville Addn , adjacent to Lots 9 & 10-13, from Hunter Street east to the north/south .alley, and, (d) The 15' wide north/south alley from Isham Street south to Works Street, as shown on the attached map The subject street and alley rights-of-way, acquired by dedication, are open on the ground and contain no utility facilities The subject vacation request is made in order to replat the vacated rights-of-way with abutting property, to expand the building area, and provide more usable yard space. Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no objections to this request, subject to the vacated rights-of-way being replatted with abutting property A satisfactory replat has been submitted The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that the subject street and alley rights-of-way be vacated as requested.
