AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING THE 7100 AND
7200 BLOCKS OF WHITE LAKE ROAD EAST (EDERVILLE ROAD), A
WIDTH OF SIXTY FEET, AND EXTENDING FROM THE MOST NORTHEAST
CORNER OF TRACT 3A, W. S. SUBLETT SURVEY, WEST 783 465
FEET TO A POINT IN THE NORTH PROPERTY LINE OF SAID
TRACT 3-A; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVID-
ING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT the 7100 and 7200 blocks of White Lake Road East
(Ederville Road), a width of 60 feet, and extending from the most
northeast corner of Tract 3A, W S Sublett Survey, west 783 46 feet
to a .point in the north property line of said Tract 3-A, and being
more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
incorporated herein, be and the same is vacated, abandoned and
permanently closed as a public street right-of-way.
SECTION 2
~~-That- the fee to the land in the above described vacated public
street right-of-way is hereby released and shall revert to the adja-
cent owners as provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that easements are
retained for any and all existing utilities and for drainage pur-
poses.
SECTION 3
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or- `
dained.

White Lake Road East From Ederville Road to Sandy Lane
A parcel of land in the W. S. Sublett Survey, Abstract No. 1443, the S.B. Hopkins
Survey Abstract No. 671 and the G. Wilson Survey, Abstract No. 1629, being the
60 foot easement for White Lake Road East from Ederville Road to Sandy Lane ac-
quired by Tarrant County in 1948 for County Road Project No 2059, more fully
described as follows:
All that certain 60 foot wide strip of land as acquired by Tarrant County in 1948
as an easement for constructing White Lake Road East, County Road Project No 2059,
bounded on the west by the easterly right of way line of proposed Ederville Road as
shown on Plan K-788 on file at the Department of Transportation and Public Works,
City of Fort Worth and. bounded on the east by the most westerly line of a tract of
land conveyed to the Texas Turnpike Authority by deed recorded in Volume 2889,- Page
113, of the deed records of Tarrant County Texas. Said 60 ft s'tri'p. is approximately
784 feet in length and contains approximately 1..08 acres of la~nd•;

Mr Cary L Santerre, Director, Transportation/Public Works Department, City of
Fort Worth, with the written consent of all abutting property owners, has
requested that the City vacate the 7100-7200 blocks of White Lake Road east
(Ederville Road) a width of 60' from the most northeast corner of Tract 3A, W.
S Sublett Survey, west 783.46' to a point in the north property line of said
Tract 3A, same being said tract's new northwest corner, as shown on the attached
map
The subject street right-of-way, acquired by dedication, open on the ground,
paved, in use, and contains water, electric, and telephone utility facilities
The subject vacation request is made in order to facilitate realignment and
~.` construction of Ederville Road.
~ ' Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no
objections to this request, provided the vacated right-of-way is retained as a
drainage and utility easement for the existing drainage and utility facilities.
The Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that the subject
street right-of-way be vacated as requested
Recommendation
It is recommended that an Ordinance be adopted vacating the 7100-7200 blocks
of White Lake Road East (Ederville Road), as recommended by the Plan Commission.
