AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND
EXTINGUISHING TWO TWENTY FOOT BY TWENTY FC
SPACE EASEMENTS LOCATED IN LOT 1-R-1, BLOCK
ADDITION; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT THE following be and the same are vacated, abandoned, and
permanently closed and extinguished as public open space easements:
A. The twenty foot by twenty foot (20' x 20') public
open space easement located in the northwest corner
of Lot 1-R-1, Boaz-Summit Addition, abutting and
adjacent to the intersection of West Daggett Avenue
and the former right-of-way for Missouri Avenue
(vacated by Ordinance No. 8687).
B. The twenty foot by twenty foot (20'x20') public open
space easement located in the southwest corner of Lot
1-R-1, Boaz-Summit Addition, abutting and adjacent to
the intersection of West Broadway Avenue and the
former .right-of-way for Missouri Avenue (vacated by
Ordinance No. 8687).
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated public
open space easements is hereby released and shall revert to the
adjacent owner as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so
ordained.

Mr. Bobbye Shadle, owner of all abutting property, has requested that the City
,Ny~~~~e.i~the 20' x 20' Public Open Space Easements in Lot 1-R-1, Block 7, Boaz-
Summit Addition, the same being the northeast corner of the intersection of
West Daggett Avenue and Missouri Avenue and the southeast corner of the inter-
section of West Broadway Avenue and Missouri Avenue, as shown on the attached
map
The subject Public Open Space Easements, acquired by dedication, are platted
and contain no utility facilities. The purpose and utility of these easements
was eliminated when Missouri Avenue was vacated by City Council Ordinance No.
8687. Therefore, the subject vacation request is made in order to remove the
encumbrance that said easements place on the subject property.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no
objections to this request.
Recommendation
.
It is recommended that an Ordinance be adopted vacating the two 20' x 20' Public
Open Space Easements in Lot 1-R-1, Block 7, Boaz-Summit Addition.
