ORDINANCE NO. ,~(p D''~
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, AND CLOSING THE 3200
AND 3300 BLOCKS OF NOBLE STREET, FROM NORTH RIVERSIDE
DRIVE EAST TO AIRPORT FREEWAY (STATE HIGHWAY 121) ACCESS
ROAD; AND THE 300 BLOCK OF BLEVINS AVENUE, FROM NOBLE
AVENUE SOUTH TO AIRPORT FREEWAY (STATE HIGHWAY 121) ACCESS
ROAD; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LANDS; RE-
PEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT the below described street rights-of-way be and the same
are hereby vacated, abandoned and permanently closed as rights-of-
way for street purposes:
A. The 3200 and 3300 blocks of Noble Street, from North
Riverside Drive east to Airport Freeway (State
Highway 121) access road, being more particularly
described as follows:
Being that portion of Noble Street right-of-way that
lies between North Riverside Drive and the Airport
Freeway (State Highway #121) and more particularly
described as follows:
BEGINNING at the northeast corner of Lot 1, Block 2,
Riverside High School Addition to the City of Fort
Worth, Tarrant County, Texas according to the plat
recorded in Volume 939, page 483, Deed Records,
Tarrant County, Texas, said corner is in the south
right-of-way line of Noble Street;
THENCE West along said right-of-way line 258.0 feet
to the northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 2, in said
Riverside High School Addition;
THENCE South 0° - 18' West along the west line of
said Lot 1, a distance of 6.73 feet to the northeast
corner of Tract 274, in the A. McLemore Survey,
Abstract #1056, Tarrant County, Texas;
THENCE North 89° - 59' West continuing along the
south right-of-way line of Noble Street and along
the north line of said Tract 274, a distance of
156.65 feet to a point for corner in the east
right-of-way line of North Riverside Drive;
THENCE North 12° - 14' 53" East a distance of 46.23
feet to the southwest corner of a certain 5.89 Acre
Tract in said McLemore Survey in the north right-
of-way line of Noble Street;
THENCE east along the south line of said 5.89 Acre
Tract and the north right-of-way line of Noble
Street 551.69 feet to a point for corner in the
northwesterly right-of-way line of Airport Freeway;

B. The 300 Block of Blevins Avenue from Noble Avenue
South to Airport Freeway (State Highway 121) access
road, being more particularly described as follows:
Being that portion of Blevins Avenue right-of-way
that lies between Noble Street and the Airport
Freeway (State Highway #121), in Riverside High
School Addition, to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant
County, Texas, as recorded in Volume 939, page 483,
Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas and more partic-
ularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 2,
in said Riverside High School Addition, said corner
is in the east right-of-way line of Blevins Avenue
and in the south right-of-way line of Noble Street;
THENCE South 00° - 18' West along the east line of
Blevins Avenue and the west line of Lots 1 and 2, in
said Block 2, a distance of 120.0 feet to the south-
west corner of said Lot 2 in the northwesterly
right-of-way line of Airport Freeway;
THENCE North 89° - 37' - 30" West 22.0 feet to a
point in the centerline of Blevins Avenue;
THENCE South 00° - 18' West along said centerline of
16.91 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE South 60° - 06' - 17" West a distance of
25.45 feet to a point for corner in the West right-
of-way line of Blevins Avenue and in the northwest-
erly right-of-way line of Airport Freeway, said
corner being in the east line of Block 1, in said
Riverside High School Addition;
THENCE North 00° - 18' East along the west right-
of-way line of Blevins Avenue and the east line of
said Block 1, a distance of 149.45 feet to a point
for corner in the south right-of-way line of Noble
Street;
THENCE East 44.0 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the lands in the above described vacated street
rights-of-way is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent
owner, as provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that easements are re-
tained for any and all existing utilities.

SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or-
dained.

Being that portion of Noble Street right-of-way that lies between North Riverside Drive and the
Airport Freeway (State Highway #121) and more particularly described as follows

Riverside State Bank, owner of all abutting property, has requested that the city
vacate the 3200-3300 blocks of Noble Street a variable width (21' to 50')
from

North Riverside Drive east to Airport Freeway (S H. 121) Access Road; and to
vacate the 300 block of Blevins Avenue a width of 45'
from Noble Avenue south
,
to the Airport Freeway (S.H. 121) Access Road, as shown on the attached map.
The subject street rights-of-way, acquired by dedication, are open`on the ground,
improved, and in use and contain utility facilities. The subject vacation request
is made in order to replat the vacated rights-of-way with abutting property to
eXpand the building area and provide more usable yard space.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no
objections to this request, provided the vacated rights-of-way are replatted
with adjacent property and vacated rights-of-way are retained as utility
easements for existing utilities. A satisfactory replat, retaining the
necessary utility easements, has been submitted.
The Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that the subject
street rights-of-way be vacated as requested.
Recommendation `
Tt is recommended that an Ordinance be adopted vacating the 3200-3300 blocks
of Noble Street and 300 block of Blevins Avenue, as recommended by the
Plan Commissions
