AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING THE EASTERN
HALF OF THE 10-FOOT WIDE ALLEY IN BLOCK 5, GRANDVIEW ADDI-
TION, SAID EASTERN HALF BEING THAT PORTION OF SAID ALLEY
ADJACENT TO LOTS 11-19, LOTS 30-38 OF SAID BLOCK, AND
EXTENDING FROM THE WEST LINE OF LOTS 11 AND 30 TO THE WEST
RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF 6TH AVENUE; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION
OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT the eastern half of the 10-foot wide alley in Block 5,
Grandview Addition, said eastern half being that portion of said
alley adjacent to Lots 11-19 and Lots 30-38 of said block, and ex-
tending from the west line of Lots 11 and 30 to the west right-of-
way line of 6th Avenue, be and the same is vacated, abandoned and
permanently closed as a right-of-way for alley purposes.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated alley
right-of-way is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent
owner, as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or-
dained.

Quality Care, Inc., owner of all abutting property, has requested that the City
vacate the eastern half of the 10' wide alley in Block 5, adjacent to Lots 11-19
and 30-38, Grandview Addition, as shown on the attached map
The subject alley right-of-way, acquired by dedication, is open on the ground, .par-
tially improved, and contains no utility facilities. The subject request is made
in order to replat the vacated right-of-way with adjoining property, to expand
the building area, and provide more usable yard space
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no objections
to this request, provided the vacated alley right-of-way is replatted with adjacent
property. A satisfactory replat has been submitted
The Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that the alley be
vacated as requested.
Recommendation•
It is recommended that an Ordinance be adopted vacating the eastern half of the 10'
wide alley in Block 5, adjacent to Lots 11-19 and 30-38, Grandview Addition, as
recommended by the Plan Commission
