ORDINANCE NO. ~ D
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING TWO UTILITY EASEMENTS IN LOT 1, BLOCK 2, WINSTON
REFINING ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PROVIDING FOR
REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LANDS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT the below described easements be and the same are hereby
vacated, abandoned, closed and extinguished as easements for utility
purposes:
A. A five (5) foot wide east/west utility easement in Lot 1,
Block 2, Winston Refining Addition to the City of Fort
Worth, extending from Braswell Street easterly two hundred
forty (240) feet along and adjacent to the north property
line of said Lot 1.
B. A five (5) foot wide north/south utility easement in
Lot 1, Block 2, Winston Refining Addition to the City of
Fort Worth, from a point fifty (50) feet north of the
southeast corner of said Lot 1, northerly one hundred
twenty (120) feet along and adjacent to the east property
line of said Lot 1.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the lands in the above described vacated util-
ity easements are hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent
owner, as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or-
dained.

Winston Refining Co., owner of all abutting property, has requested that the
City vacate the following
(1) A 5' wide east/west utility easement in Lot 1, Block 2, Winston
Refining Addition, from Braswell St east 240', 5' from and parallel
to the north property line of said Lot 1, and
(2) A 5' wide north/south utility easement in Lot 1, Block 2, Winston
Refining Addition, from 50' north of the southeast corner of said
Lot 1, north 120', both as shown on the attached map.
The subject 5' wide utility easements, acquired by dedication, are platted and
contain no utility facilities. The subject vacation request is made in order
to expand the building area and provide more usable yard space.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no objections
to this request.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an Ordinance be adopted vacating the 5' wide utility ease-
ments in Lot 1, Block Z, Winston Refining Addition
