AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 28, "PLANNING", OF THE CODE
OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, BY AMENDING SECTION
28-01 THEREOF, TO CHANGE THE FEES FOR CERTAIN SERVICES
RELATED TO ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT, PLAN COMMISSION AND
ZONING COMMISSION FUNCTIONS; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF ORDI-
NANCES AND OF CODE SECTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND THAT
THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE CUMULATIVE OF OTHER ORDINANCES AND
CODE SECTIONS; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING
FOR ENGROSSMENT AND ENROLLMENT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That Chapter 28 of the Code of the City of Fort Worth, Texas
(1964) , as amended, is hereby further amended by changing Subsec-
tion (a) in Section 28-01 thereof, "Application fees charged by
Zoning Board of Adjustment, Plan Commission and Zoning Commission,"
to read as follows:
" (a) For services rendered, the following schedule of fees
and charges is hereby adopted:

SECTION 2.
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of all provisions of
ordinances and of the Code of the City of Fort Worth, Texas (1964),
as amended, except where the provisions of this ordinance are in
direct conflict with the provisions of such ordinance and such code,
in which event conflicting provisions of such ordinances and such
code are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3.
That it is hereby declared to be the intention of the City
Council of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, that the sections, para-
graphs, sentences, clauses and phrases of this ordinance are of this
ordinance shall be declared void, ineffective or unconstitutional by
the valid judgment or final decree of a court of competent jurisdic-

tion, such voidness, ineffectiveness or unconstitutionality shall
not affect any of the remaining sections, paragraphs, sentences,
clauses or phrases of this ordinance since the same would have been
enacted by the City Council without the incorporation herein of any
such void, ineffective or unconstitutional section, paragraph, sen-
tence, clause or phrase.
SECTION 4.
The City Secretary of the City of Fort Worth is hereby directed
to engross and enroll this ordinance by copying the caption in the
minutes of the City Council and by filing the ordinance in the ordi-
nance records of the City.
SECTION 5.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
the date of passage.

As a basis for these fee adjustments, City staff referred to the recently-
completed update of the City-wide user fee analysis that was conducted by
CITY SERVI .PV1d M. Griffith and Associates, Ltd. The consultant recommended adjusting
fees so that. the cost/recovery mates that were established in 1983-84 could be
REAL pRofAilmintained. All affected departments were consulted for guidance and assistance
in developing these proposed fee adjustments. Some fee adjustments recommended

PARKS ANO RED&TIdimy Council was assured that Council approval for these fee adjustments
would be secured on an individual fee basis.

(which will amend Chapter 18 of the City Code):

c) Sale of Police Department accident reports from $5.00 to $6.50; and
d) Tax Department title search fees from $10.00 to $12.00 per search.
3) City staff provide recommendations for the establishment or adjustment of
user fees by January 1, 1985, for the following fees:
a) Elevator inspections; APPROVED BY

c) Pre-packaged goods permits;
d) Taxi meter inspections;
e) Intosilyzer test fees; and OCT 2 1984
f) Fire inspection fees.
