NUMBER THE FUNDING OF A POSITION AT THE 1
5/85 **G-6271 BOTANIC GARDEN a or
The Fort Worth Parks and Recreation Department has received an unbudgeted
$10,542 for the funding of 100% of the salary of one Gardener II position
(including fringe benefits) at the Botanic Garden under the direction of the
Parks and Recreation Director through September 1985. As this gift was not
included in either the 1984-85 estimated budget revenue or appropriations,
Council action is required to appropriate these funds for their intended
purpose.
The Park and Recreation Advisory Board thanked the Fort Worth Garden Center,
Inc. for this gift and voted to recommend acceptance of the gift and adoption
of the related appropriation ordinance.
Recommendations
It is recommended that City Council:
1. Accept the gift in the amount of $10,542; and
2. Adopt a supplemental appropriations ordinance appropriating $10,542 from
increased estimated budgeted revenues of the General Fund to the Parks and
Recreation Department Account No. 80-20-60 for the purpose of funding 100%
of the salary of one Gardener II position (including fringe benefits) at
the Botanic Garden.
