Origin of Project
This segment of Tierney Road is a residential street in the Meadowbroo~k Sector
which was paved to City standards in the 1940's without curb and guttero Since
that date, approximately 50 percent of the owners have constructed curb and

portions of the base have sunTc causing drainage ptoblemso In October, 1980, the
Assessment Paving Office recei~red a paging petition signed by the owners of
57.4 percent of the adjacent property, requesting the street be improved complete
with continuous curb and gutter and driveway appraaches on the assessment basiso
On December 16, 1980 (M&C G-4801), the City Cos~ncil authori~Ed tike Director of
Public Wor&s to design and advertise the project fo;e bids.
