ORDINANCE NO. ~(o ~~ AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING THE 3200 BLOCK OF WEST 5TH STREET, BEING THAT PORTION OF SAID STREET LYING BETWEEN ARCH ADAM S STREET AND BAILEY AVENUE; VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING TWO PUBLIC OPEN SPACE EASEMENTS IN LOT A, BLOCK 8-R, WILLIAM J. BAILEY ADDITION; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LANDS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. A. That the 3200 block of West 5th Street, being that portion of said street lying between Arch Adams Street and Bailey Avenue, and being more particularly described as follows: A portion of West Fifth Street which lies between Lot A in Block 8 R of Wm. J. Bailey Addition as said Lot A appears upon the map recorded in volume 388-64, page 11 of the Tarrant County Deed Records and Lots 7 through 14 in Block 13 of said Addition as said Lots appears upon the map recorded in volume 310, page 61 of the said Deed Records; Beginning at the northwest corner of said Lot A, being the intersection of the south line of right of way of said West Fifth Street and the east line of right of way of Arch Adams Street; Thence north no degrees-37 minutes-11 seconds west 55 feet to the south line of said Lot 7 and the north line of right of way of West Fifth Street; Thence east, along the south line of said Block 13 and the said north line of right of way of West Fifth Street, 439-10/100 feet to the southwesterly line of right of way of Bailey Avenue; Thence south 35 degrees-19 minutes east, 67-39/100 feet to the northeast corner of said Lot A being the intersection of the said south line of right of way of West Fifth Street and the said southwesterly line of right of way of Bailey Avenue; Thence west, along the north line of said Lot A and the said south line of said right of way of West Fifth Street, 477-47/100 feet to the place of beginning and containing 25,201 square feet; be and the same is hereby abandoned, vacated and closed as a right- of-way for street purposes. Bailey Addition in the City of Fort Worth in Tarrant County, Texas as said Lot A appears upon the map recorded in volume 388-64, page 11 of the Tarrant County Deed Records; Beginning at the northwest corner of said Lot A being the intersection of the south line of right of way of West Fifth Street and the east line of right of way of Arch Adams Street; Thence east, along the north line of said Lot A and the said south line of right of way of West Fifth Street, 20 feet; Thence south 42 degrees-24 minutes west 26-97/100 feet to the west line of said Lot A and the said east line of right of way of Arch Adams Street; Thence north 5 degrees-12 minutes west, along the said west line of Lot A and the said east line of right of way of Arch Adams Street, 20 feet to the place of beginning and containing 199 square feet; fl~`r y1~ be and the same is hereby abandoned, vacated and closed as a public open space easement. Bailey Addition in the City of Fort Worth in Tarrant County, Texas as said Lot A appears upon the map recorded in volume 388-64, page 11 of the Tarrant County Deed Records; Beginning at the northeast corner of said Lot A being the intersection of the southwesterly line of Bailey Avenue and the south line of right of way of West Fifth Street; Thence south 35 degrees-19 minutes east, along the east line of said Lot A and the said southwesterly line of Bailey Avenue, 20 feet; Thence north 62 degrees-39 minutes-30 seconds west 35-53/100 feet to the north line of said Lot A and the said south line of right of way of West Fifth Street; Thence east, along the said north line of Lot A and the said south line of right of way of West Fifth Street, 20 feet to the place of beginning and containing 163 square feet; be and the same is hereby abandoned, vacated and closed as a public open space easement. SECTION 2. That the fee to the lands in the above described vacated street right-of-way and public open space easements is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owners as provided by law. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and b e in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or- dained.
