The purpose of this informal report is to provide an update on the Street Pavement Marking/Striping work
efforts in FY 2017 and recently completed work activities in FY 2016.
The installation of pavement markings on City streets is typically accomplished as part of street
resurfacing work programs or routine pavement marking/striping work efforts. In FY 2016 a total of
$1,089,000 was allocated for pavement markings through PayGo and General Fund maintenance funds.
Fourteen major street segments were marked in addition to 200 crosswalk locations. The following major
street segments were completed in this work effort:
• Belknap; Henderson to Pecan
• E. Seminary; IH35W to City Limit
• Granbury; IH 20 to Altamesa
• North Tarrant Pkwy; IH 35W to Main (US 377)
• Northside Drive/University; SH 199 to Shamrock
• Silver Creek Rd; City Limit to IH 820
• Trinity; Bell Helicopter Blvd to High River Rd (City Limit)
• University; River bridge to River bridge
• W. Seminary; South Drive to IH 35W
• Wagley Robertson; Bailey Boswell to Bonds Ranch
• Weatherford; Belknap to Pecan
• White Settlement; SH 183 to University
• N. Riverside; Basswood to Mercantile
• Bailey Boswell; Boat Club to Old Decatur
In FY2017, $2,366,195 has been allocated for pavement markings. The following major street
segments are programmed for completion and implementation schedules are currently being
developed. A few additional street segments will be added upon final coordination with the
Planning and Development Department in conjunction with bicycle lanes and Water Dept.

• Bryant Irvin Road Southwest Blvd (SH 183) to Altamesa Blvd
• Bryant Irvin Road: W Vickery Blvd to Southwest Blvd (SH 183)
• Calhoun; Belknap to Lancaster
• Camp Bowie Blvd; IH 30 to Montgomery Street
• Camp Bowie Blvd; Montgomery Street to University Drive
• Campus Drive; East Seminary Drive to SE IH 820
• Commerce; Belknap to Lancaster

Recently two street segments have had pavement markings replaced:
• S. University Dr. — Park Hill to W. Berry
• Trinity Blvd — Bell Helicopter Blvd east to High River Rd (City Limits)
The section of Trinity Blvd from Bell Helicopter Blvd west to IH-820 is part of the FY 2017 work
effort and programmed to be completed later this fall to coincide with the completion of the two
ongoing construction projects at Precinct Line Road and the new drainage channel bridge
between Norwood and Bell Helicopter Blvd.
