ORDINANCE NO
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING THE 15-FOOT
WIDE ALLEY IN BLOCK 2-R, CHAPEL CREEK ADDITION, FROM TALL
OAK DRIVE EAST TO FALL CEDAR DRIVE, AND THE 15-FOOT WIDE
ALLEY IN BLOCK 5-R, CHAPEL CREEK ADDITION, FROM HOLLY
GROVE DRIVE SOUTHEASTERLY TO CHAPEL CREEK BOULEVARD
PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LANDS REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS
SECTION 1
THAT the fifteen-foot (15') wide alley in Block 2-R, Chapel
Creek Addition, from Tall Oak Drive east to Fall Cedar Drive, and
the fifteen-foot (15') wide alley in Block 5-R, Chapel Creek
Addition, from Holly Grove Drive southeasterly to Chapel Creek
Boulevard, be and the same are vacated, abandoned and permanently
closed as rights-of-way for alley purposes
SECTION 2
That the fee to the lands in the above described vacated alley
rights-of-way are hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent
owner, as provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that easements are
retained for any and all existing utilities, including existing
electric and telephone utility facilities
SECTION 3
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed
SECTION 4
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so
ordained

The subject alley rights-of-way acquirlyd by dedication are open on the ground
and contain electric and telephone utility facilities The subject vacation
request is made in order to replat the vacated rights-of-way with adjoining
property to exps.nd the building area and provide more usable yard space
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no objections
to this request provided the vacated rights-of-way are replatted with adjacent
property and utility easements are retained and dedicated for the existing
utility facilities A satisfactory replat retaining and dedicating the necessary
utility easements has been submitted
Z'he City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that the
subject alley rights-of-way be vacated as reqursted
Recom<ner~dation
Tt is recommended that an Ordinance be adopted vacating the 15' wide alley
in Bloeks 2-R and 5-R, Chapel Creek Additimn as recommended by the City
Plan Commission
