ORDINANCE NO ~(p
AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED REVENUES ACCRUING TO
THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR 1982 BY TRANSFERRING THERETO $1,050 FROM THE SPECIAL
GIFT FUNDS, ACCOUNT NO 088-036001-00, WHICH SUM WAS PRE-
VIOUSLY DONATED, AND APPROPRIATING FROM THE INCREASED
ESTIMATED REVENUES OF THE GENERAL FUND THE SUM OF $1 , 050
PTO FIRE DEPSRTMENT OPERATIONS BUDGET, ACCOUNT NO 36-30-00
i--FOR THE PURPOSE OF PURHCASING SMOKE ALARMS FOR UNDERPRIVI-
LEGED CITIZENS MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR
ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS
SECTION 1
That the estimated revenues accruing to the General Fund of the
City of Fort Worth for the Fiscal Year 1982 are hereby increased by
transferring thereto $1,050 in Special Gift Funds, Account No 088-
036001-00 and that in addition to providing the City Manager with
such other revenue as may be secured from various sources included
in Ordinance No 8391 and in the Budget of the City Manager, there
shall also be appropriated from the increased revenues of the
General Fund the sum of $1,050 to the Fire Department Operations
Budget, Account No 36-30-00 to fund the purchase of smoke alarms
SECTION 2
Should any portion, section or part of a section of this
Ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by
a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judg-
ment shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections or
parts of sections of this Ordinance, which said remaining provisions
shall be and remain in full force and effect
SECTION 3
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No 8391
and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the same except
in those instances where the provisions of this Ordinance are in
direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in
which instances said conflicting provisions are hereby expressly re-
pealed

SECTION 4
That this Ordinance sha11 take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or-
dained

BACKGROUND
A donation of $440 was received from the Ken W Davis Foundation in December
1981 and a $500 donation was received from the Veterans of Foreign Wars in
April 1982 These funds were donated specifically for the purchase of smoke
alarms for underprivileged citizens and at the time of receipt were deposited in
the Special "Gifts Fund
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that
1 The City Council authorize the transfer of $1 050 from the
Special Gifts Fund to the General Fund Revenue Account 072058 and
2 Adopt the attached supplemental appropriations ordinance
appropriating $1 050 from increased revenues of the General Fund
to the Fire Operations Division Account No 36-30-00 Index
