Consultants, L.L.C. , (Engineer) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 27555, (the Contract) which was authorized by the City Council by MSC C-18984 on the 5th day of March, 2002; and subsequently revised by two previous amendments; and WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the following project: Engineering Design of Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Contract LIX (59) . WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 3 to said Contract to include an increased scope of work and revised maximum fee; NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement which amends the Contract: 1 . Article I of the Contract is amended to include the additional engineering services specified in a proposal letter dated February 26, 2004 , a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional design services to be performed by Engineer total $14,708.00. 2. Article II of the Contract is amended to provide for an increase in the maximum fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall not exceed the sum of $192,858.00. No. 3575 Part 2 D.O.E. No. 3946 Dear Mr. Conlon: During the preliminary review meeting for Sanitary Sewer. Rehabilitation Contract LIX (59), A.N.A. Consultants, L.L.C. was requested to include the following items under our current contract: Pressure grouting and abandonment of two existing 6" laterals, (L-8269 and an un-named lateral) currently connecting to L-2038 as part of Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation LIX (59), Part 2. This request resulted in additional survey, preparation of three Temporary Right of Entry exhibits and extending the proposed L-2038 replacement an additional 60 linear feet. In addition, during the final review meeting for Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation LIX (59), Part 1, the review of proposed sewer lateral L-180 in Vickery Boulevard, indicated that lowering L- 179*from Station 0+00 to Station 6+83 would improve the grade for L-180 as well as several lines to be replaced in the future. A.N.A. Consultants was asked to include the design of L- 179* in this contract. Also, during the final review for Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation LIX (59), Part 1 A.N.A. Consultants was requested to extend L-3097 in Burchill Road approximately 300 linear feet to improve sewer service to 1936 Mitchell Boulevard. These requests for additional services are not part of our existing contract and will exceed our current scope of work for this project. A.N.A. Consultants, L.L.C. is recommending that our current contract be amended to include these additional services and corresponding fee adjustments. In order to meet our M/WBE goal for this project, we will be using our current Sub-consultant, Hugo C. Trevino & Associates, Inc. to participate in reprographic services for Amendment No. 3 services for the amount of $ 1,471.00. This will result in a 10% portion of this Amendment No. 3.
