ORDINANCE NO ~5~
AN ORDINANCE INCREASING BY $11 000 THE ESTIMATED REVENUES
ACCRUING TO THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH FOR
TEiE FISCAL YEAR 1982 AND TRANSFERRING THEREFROM THE SUM OF
$7,022 TO THE ESTIMATED REVENUES ACCRUING TO THE GENERAL
FUND OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1983;
APPROPRIATING FROM THE INCREASED ESTIMATED REVENUES OF THE
GENERAL FUND OF 1982 THE SUM OF $3,978 TO ACCOUNT NO 50-
15-04 (DENTAL CLINIC) FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING AN EXPAN-
DED PROGRAM OF DENTAL CARE FOR CHILDREN IN FISCAL YEAR
1982, PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; MAKING THIS
ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL
PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; ANII PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS
SECTION 1
That the estimated revenues accruing to the General Fund of the
City of Fort Worth for the Fiscal Years 1982 and 1983 are hereby in-
creased by the sums of $3,978 and $7 022 respectively; and that, in
addition to providing the City Manager with such other revenue as may
be received from various sources included in Ordinance No 8391 and
in the budget of the City Manager for Fiscal Year 1982, there shall
also be appropriated from the increased revenues of the General Fund
for Fiscal Year 1982 the sum of $3,978 to the Dental Clinic Program
Budget, Account No 50-15-04
SECTION 2
That this ordinance snail be cumulative of all provisions of
ordinances and of the Code of the City of Fort Worth, Texas (1964),
as amended, except where the provisions of this ordinance are in di-
rect conflict with the provisions of such ordinances and such Cade, in
which event conflicting provisions of such ordinances sad such Code are
hereby repealed
SECTION 3
It is hereby declared to be the intention of the City Council that
the sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses and phrases of this ordin-
ance are severable and, if any phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or

section of this ordinance shall be declared unconstitutional by the
valid 3udgment or decree of any Court of competent jurisdiction, such
unconstitutionality shall not affect any of the remaining phrases,
clauses, sentences, paragraphs and sections of this ordinance since
the same would have been enacted by the City Council without the
incorporation in this ordinance of any such unconstitutional phrase,
clause, sentence, paragraph or section
SECTION 4
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
the date of passage

The Community Dental Health Program in the Department of :Public Health has
traditionally seared the dental needy of the lower income population of Fort
Worth and "Ta"r-rant Co:~nty particularly those of pre-school and school-age

~~ A '~csc~--nonprofit organisation Gill Children's Sera:~ices proposes to donate
_.~ ~money`~rrqui-pment and supplies for the expansion of children's dental services
~G.il1 !which. emphasizes the purchase of dental and non-cosmetic orthodontic
and prosthetic care for children in Tarrant County has agreed to assist the
Public-Health Dental Clinic by providing
1 'Dental equipment dental supplies and building materials for an
additional operatory and
2 $11 000 in funding which is to be used to cover the costs for one
year of a new dental assi.sts.nt position for this program to help

Recommendations
Tt is recommended that the City Council
1) Accept the gift of money and equipment described above from
Gill Children's Services Inc to provide additional dental
services to the needy children of Fort Worth and Tarrant County
2) Increase the revenue in Fund 88-05001-00 I C 012138 Special Gifts,
by the sum of $11 000
3) Adopt the attached supplemental appropriation ordinance appropriating
$3 978 from the increased revenues of Fund 88 to General Fund Account
No 50-15-04 Dental Clinic for Fiscal Year 1982 as follows
