(No M&C Needed) COUNTY OF TARRANT § WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (City) and RJN GROUP, Inc (Engineer) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 29213 (the Contract) which was authorized by the City Council by M&C C-19775 on the 9thst day of Septmber, 2003; and WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the following project: Engineering Service For: 2004 Capital Improvement Projects D.O.E.NO. 3910 : New York Avenue From Rosedale Rd. to E. Terrell St. CONTRACT 99JJ: Sewer and Water Line Replacements-Various Locations CONTRACT 99LL:Sewer and Water Line Replacements-Various Locations WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 1 to said Contract to include an increased scope of work and revised maximum fee; NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement, which amends the Contract: 1. Article I of the Contract is amended to include the additional engineering services specified in a proposal letter dated September 8, 2004, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional services to be performed by Engineer total$23,732.00 2. Article H of the Contract is amended to provide for an increase in the maximum fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall not exceed the sum of$170,466.55 3. -. The following is a summary of the additional services provided: 1. Added design for replacement of 554 LF of sanitary sewer line in Fuller Avenue for sewer lateral: L-4097 (Station 5+90 to Station 11+45) 2. Added design for replacement of an additional 675 LF of 12" water line in Fuller Avenue, from Ryan to 6th Street. Added design for replacement of a total of 1360 LF of sanitary sewer lines in Waco Way which includes laterals: L-6455 (Station 0+00 to Station 5+88E) L-6459 (Station 0+00 to Station 3+42E) L-6458 (Station 0+00 to Station3+59E) 4. Added design for replacement of an additional 105 LF of sanitary sewer in Wosley Drive for sewer lateral: L-5237 (Station 0+00 to Station 1+05E). 5. Added design for replacement a total of 1,301 LF of sanitary sewer lines in Wessex Avenue which includes laterals: L-5851 (Station 0+00 to Station 4+59E) L-5849 (Station 0+00 to Station 7+86E) Total additional sewer design length is: 3,320 LF Total additional water design length is: 675 LF All of the design work described in Items 1 through 5 above is part of Sanitary Sewer and Water Line Replacement Contract 99LL. No additional work is anticipated at this time for Contract 9911. The estimated construction cost for each of the additional items is summarized in Table 1. Est. No additional survey is required for the design of the sanitary sewer line replacements since these streets were surveyed for the water line replacements. However, additional topographic survey will be required for the 600 LF of 12" water line replacement in Fuller. Additional printing costs will also be incurred. The following Direct Costs include actual cost plus a 10% markup. Gorrondona &Assoc.(M/WBE Provider) Survey 675' at$2.75/LF + 10% markup = $2,042 LA Blueline (M/WBE Provider) Additional Reproduction + 10% markup = 220 Total Direct Costs =$2,262 The total value of this amendment is $23,732 (Direct Labor+Direct Costs), which is 16.17% of the original contract value.
