Home My WebLink AboutOrdinance 8418~''~ r ~ a f ~+ r a 4 i ORDINANCE NO AN ORDINANCE RELEASING TERRITORY COMPRISING SOME 60 4 ACRES FROM THE EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH TEXAS CONSENTING TO THE ANNEXATION OF SAID TERRITORY BY THE CITY OF CROWLEY TEXAS PRO- VIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL AMEND EVERY PRIOR ORDINANCE IN DIRECT CONFLICT HEREWITH PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE CUMU- LATIVE PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND NAMING AN EFFECTIVE DATE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH TEXAS SECTION 1 That the City of Fort Worth pursuant to an agreement estab- lished in a joint resolution between the City of Fort Worth and the City of Crowley hereby relinquishes to the City of Crowley all extraterritorial jurisdictional rights as determined by the provisions of the Texas Municipal Annexation Act (Article 970a Revised Civil Statutes of Texas as amended) to a certain tract or parcel of land located west of Crowley said tract or parcel being more particularly described as BEGINNING at a point in the West line of the B Pool Survey Abstract No 1243 located approximately 430 feet South of the Northwest corner of the B Pool Sur- vey Abstract No 1243 THENCE South along the West line of the B Pool Survey and the East line of the H Riddle Survey Abstract No 1329 a distance of 133 22 feet to a point for corner THENCE South 89 degrees 51 minutes West a distance of 361 5 feet to a point for corner THENCE South a distance of 361 5 feet more or less to a point for corner in the South line of the said H Riddle Survey also being the North line of the A ~~F'er- nandez Survey Abstract No 506 and the North line of County Road 1018 THENCE South 89 degrees 51 minutes West along the South line of the said H Riddle Survey a distance of 510 3 feet to a point for corner THENCE South 0 degrees 15 minutes East a distance of 2462 8 feet more or less to a point for corner in the South line of County Road 1082 THENCE North 89 degrees 58 minutes West a distance of 220 feet more or less to the Northwest corner of a tract of land conveyed to the First Baptist Church of Crowley by a deed recorded in Volume 5791 Page 225 in the Deed Records Tarrant County Texas THENCE South 0 degrees 53 minutes East along the West line of the said Church tract a distance of 545 feet more or less to a point for corner THENCE South 89 degrees 53 minutes East along the South line of the said Church tract a distance of 748 44 feet more or less to a point in the West line of F M Highway 1187 said point also being the Southeast corner of the said Church tract .j ;• THENCE North 0 degrees 21 minutes East along the West line of F M Highway 1187 and the East line of the said Church tract a distance of 485 feet to a point for corner, THENCE North 89 degrees 53 minutes East and parallel to the North line of County Road 1082 a distance of 285 feet, more or less, to the most Westerly Southwest corner of the present City Limits line to the City of Crowley, THENCE Northerly along the West City Limits line of the City of Crowley projected North a distance of 2900 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning, and con- taining approximately 60 4 acres, more or less The above described property being graphically depicted in Exhi- bit "A" appended hereto and incorporated herein by reference as fully as though copied verbatim herein SECTION 2 That the City of Fort Worth hereby consents to the annexa- Lion of the hereinabove described territory by the City of Crowley SECTION 3 That this ordinance shall and does amend every prior ordi- nance in conflict herewith, but as to all other ordinances or sections of ordinances not in direct conflict, this ordinance shall be, and the same is hereby made cumulative SECTION 4 That it is hereby declared to be the intent of the City Council that the sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses and phrases of this ordinance are severable, and if any phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or section of this ordinance shall be declared unconstitutional by the valid judgement or decree of any court of competent jurisdiction, such unconstitutionality shall not affect any of the remaining phrases, clauses, sentences, par- agraphs and sections of this ordinance, since the same would have been enacted by the City Council without the incorporation in this ordinance of any such unconstitutional phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs or sections r : r~ , a. ,..~.
