ORDINANCE NO 1~~
AN ORDINANCE VACATING ABANDONING AND CLOSING THE
500 BLOCK OF CHANDLER AVENUE FROM THE SOUTH PROPERTY
LINE OF BLOCK 51 RIVERSIDE ADDITION TO THE NORTH
RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF FISHER AVENUE THE 3100 BLOCK
OF LAWNWOOD AVENUE FROM THE EAST PROPERTY LINE OF
BLOCK 61 RIVERSIDE ADDITION TO THE WEST RIGHT-OF-
WAY LINE OF RIVERSIDE DRIVE AND THE ALLEY IN BLOCK
62 RIVERSIDE ADDITION FROM THE SOUTH RIGHT-OF-WAY
LINE OF LAWNWOOD AVENUE TO THE NORTH RIGHT-OF-WAY
LINE OF FISHER AVENUE PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF
FEE IN SAID LAND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CON-
FLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH TEXAS
SECTION 1
THAT the 500 block of Chandler Drive from. the south
property line of Block 51 Riverside Addition to the north right-
of-way line of Fisher Avenue the 3100 block of Lawnwood Avenue
from the east property line of Block 61 Riverside Addition to the
west right-of-way line of Riverside Drive and the alley in Block
62 Riverside Addition a width of 20 feet extending in length
from the south right-of-way line of Lawnwood Avenue to the north
right-of-way line of Fisher Avenue be and the same are vacated
abandoned and permanently closed as rights-of-way for street and
alley purposes
SECTION 2
That the fee to the lands i.n the above described vacated
street and alley rights-of-way is hereby released and shall revert
to the adjacent owners as provided by law .SAVE AND EXCEPT that
easements are retained for existing utilities as follows
A portion of the above-vacated alley in Block
62 a width of 20 feet and a length of 15 feet
extending from a point 142 5 feet from the north
right-of-way line of Fisher Avenue 15 feet north
a portion of the vacated 500 block of Chandler
Avenue a width of 60 feet and a length of 15 feet
extending from a point 142 5 feet from the. north
right-of~=way line of Fisher Avenue 15 feet north
and a portion of the vacated 500 block of Chandler
Avenue in the southeast corner a width of 5 feet
extending from the east right=of-way line of Chandler
Avenue west 5 feet and a length of 30 feet from the
north right-of-way line of Fisher Avenue to a point
30 feet north of the north right=of-way line of
Fisher Avenue

SECTION 3
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed
SECTION 4
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
and effect from and after the date of its passage and it is so
ordained

F D Mueller Estate Trust, with the consent of all abutting property owners, has
requested that the city vacate the following
(a) 500 block of Chandler Avenue, a width of 60' from Block 51 Riverside
Addition south to Fisher Avenue
(b)3100 block of Lawnwood Avenue, a width of 60' from Block 61, Riverside
Addition, east to Riverside Drive
(c) the alley in Block 62 Riverside Addition, a width of 20' from Lawnwood
Avenue south to Fisher Avenue as shown on the attached mad
The subject street and all'ey~rights-of-way, acquired by dedication are open on
the ground, unimproved but contain utility facilities This vacation request
is made in order to replat the subject rights-of-way with the adjoining property
and expand the building area
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no objec-
tions to this request provided the vacated rights-of-way are repl"fitted with
adjacent property and that satisfactory arrangements are made on a replat for
the existing utility facilities A satisfactory replat, dedicating the
necessary easements, has been submitted
The Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that the subject
street and alley rights-of-way be vacated
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating the 500 block of Chandler
Avenue, 3100 block of Lawnwood Avenue and the~.alley in Block 62, Riverside
Addition
