Background
Several weeks ago we were contacted by the local chapter of the American Institute
of Architects asking that the appropriate changes in the Code of Ethics be made
which would allow an architect to serve on a City Board or Commission and still ,

The relevant section of the Code of Ethics reads as follows:

a member as a representative for any private person, group
or interest, or represent, directly or indirectly, any
private person, group, or interest before any department,
agency, commission or board of the City of Fort Worth.
Proposal
It is proposed that the attached ordinance amending the Code of Ethics be adopted.

This action is within the purview of the City Council and there are no known legal
impediments.
Fiscal Note
This action does not require an- expenditure of funds.
