AN ORDINANCE VACATING ABANDONING AND CLOSING
THE 300 BLOCK OF COMMERCIAL STREET FROM THE SOUTH
RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF KANSAS STREET TO THE NORTH-
WEST PROPERTY LINE OF THE TARRANT COUNTY WATER
CONTROL AND IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO 1 PROPERTY
THE 10 FOOT WIDE ALLEY IN BLOCK 17 ADJACENT TO
LOTS 1-5 AND 16-21 EVANS-PEARSON-WESTWOOD AD-
DITION FROM THE SOUTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF KANSAS
STREET TO THE NORTHWEST PROPERTY LINE OF TARRANT
COUNTY WATER CONTROL AND IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO
1 AND THE 10 FOOT WIDE ALLEY IN BLOCK 20 ADJACENT
TO LOTS 1 AND 11-13 EVANS-PEARSON-WESTWOOD ADDITION
FROM THE SOUTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF KANSAS STREET
TO THE NORTHWEST PROPERTY LINE OF THE TARRANT COUNTY
WATER CONTROL AND IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO 1 PRO-
VIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LANDS REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH TEXAS
SECTION 1
THAT the 300 block of Commercial Street from the south
right-of'-way line of Kansas Street to the northwest property line of
the Tarrant County Water Control and Improvement District No 1
property the 10 foot wide alley in Block 17 adjacent to Lots 1-5
and 16-21 Evans-Pearson-Westwood Addition from the south right-of-way
line of Kansas Street to the northwest property line of Tarrant
County Water Control and Improvement District No 1 and the 10 foot
wide alley in Block 20 adjacent to Lots 1 and 11-13 Evans-Pearson-
Westwood Addition from the south right-of-way line of Kansas Street
to the northwest property line of the Tarrant County Water Control
and Improvement District No 1 be and the same is vacated abandoned
and permanently closed as rights-of-way for street and alley purposes
SECTION 2
That the fee to the lands in the above described vacated
street and alley rights-of-way is hereby released and shall revert to
the adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed

SECTION 4
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in .full force
and effect from and after the date of its passage and. it is so
ordained

open on the ground fenced unimproved but contain no utility facilities
Approval of the subject vacation request will permit the vacated street and
alley rights-of-way to be replatted with adjo.iining property which will
permit expansion of the building area and provision of more usable yard
space
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies wave raised no
objections to this request provided the vacated street and alley rights-of-
way ire replatted with adjoining property A satisfactory replat has been
submitted
TYie Plan Commission has reviewed this requlyst and recommends that the subject
street and alley rights-of-way be vacated as requested
