PROPOSAL:
r It is proposed that the City Council authorize a waiver of the zoning change application fee in the amount
of$3,740 for properties located in the 9900, 10800, and 11700 blocks of Trinity Boulevard and in the
11600 and 12200 blocks of Mosier Valley Road for an existing golf course and vacant land, subject to an
w application being made by August 11,2008.
DISCUSSION:
Councilmember Moss requested that staff review zoning for certain properties in the northeastern portion p
of his district that are currently not consistent with the Comprehensive Plan fil ure land use map. I
The City of Euless owns nine parcels of land within the city limits of Fort Worth and has requested
rezoning to conform to the Comprehensive Plan. The properties are zoned "AG" Agricultural, "CF"
Community Facilities, and"T'Medium Industrial. Six parcels are part of the Texas Star Golf Course, and
the three remaining parcels are vacant. No development is proposed for these three parcels. The golf
course is classified as existing parkland, while the vacant properties are classified as single family and
light industrial. Upon further review, the light industrial designation is proposed for an amendment to
single family in the 2009 Comprehensive Plan future land use map. Staff recommends rezoning these
properties to"A-43"One-Family.
The City of Hurst owns two parcels within Fort Worth and has also requested rezoning to conform to the
Comprehensive Plan. Both parcels are vacant land with no pending development plans. The City of
Hurst parcels are currently zoned "O-1" Floodplain and are designated as single family in the adapted
2008 Comprehensive Plan firture land use map. Staff recommends rezoning these properties to "A-43"
One-Family.
