GRIMES & CO INC FOR THE CONSTRUCTION 0~' SAID IMPROVEMENTS FULLY COMPIoETED AND PERFORMED DIRECTING THE ISSUANCES EXECUTION AND DELIt1ERY OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS LEVIED AFTER .GIVING EFFECT TO SUNDRY CREDITS HEREIN AUTHORIZED AND ALLOWED AGAINST SOME OF SAID ASSESSMENTS; DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY TO ENGROSS AND ENROLL THIS ORDINANCE BY COPYING THE CAPTION OF SAME IN THE MINUTE BOOK OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF FORT WORTHS TEXASS AND BY FILING. THE COMPLETE. ORDINANCE IN APPROPRIATE ORDINANCE RECORDS OF SAID CITYfl AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREASS the City of Fort Worthy TexasS has heretofore entered into a contract with I_ rrimPC & Cn__ Tnc_ S for the making sild construction of certai%a street improvements on tkee hereinafter described portions of streetsS avenues and public pl~ce§ in said Citj9S to®~iit EAST BERRY STREET From Crouch Avenue to Candace Court, known and designated as Project No -021-25231 a three-inch thick hot-mix asph- altic concrete surfece on an eight-inch thick cement stab- ilized base-on a sixty-foot roadway Seven-inch high con- crete curb and eighteen-inch wide concrete gutter will be % constructed where none exists Y l L~~HE~:AS, by sundry proceedings heretofore passed by the City Council of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, including Ordinance No 8190 , a portion of the cost of said improvements was levied and assessed against the respective properties abutting on each of the above described portions of streets, avenues and public places and against the real and true owners thereof; and, wHEt~;AS, the City council of the pity of Fort V~orth, Texas, has, upon review, found and determined that, in some instances, in order to effect substantial justice and equality, it is desirable and necessary to grant and issue certain credits against some one or more of the assessments levied by Ordinance No 8190 , and WHi:fiEAd, the street improvements hereinabove mentioned have been completed upon each of the portions of streets, avenues and public places hereinabove described, and have been inspected and found to be in complete accordance with the contract therefor; NOLd, TtiEiEFOftE, BE IN ORDAIid1;D i3Y THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, `THAT I The improvement-s on each of the portions of streets, avenues and public places hereinabove described be, and they are hereby, accepted; and the contract with reference thereto be, and it is hereby, found and declared fully completed and perfoarned II The Mayor, be, and he is hereby, directed to issue and execute in the name of the City, certificates in evidence of the special assessments levied against abutting property and the owner thereof for such improvements, and the City Secretary is directed to attest same and impress thereon the corporate seal of the City, all in accordance with the proceedings relating to such improvements and assessments The certificates shall be numbered, shall describe the property against which the assessment has been levied, shall, where known, state the name or names of the true owners of the respective parcels of pro- perty assessed andshall be issued in an amount equal to the difference between the principal amount of the assessment and the amounts of any credit issued thereon The numbers of the certificates, with the property descriptions to be shown on the respective certificates, together with the names of the owners of said property, the principal amount of the assessment, the respective credits, if any which are hereby authorized, granted and allowed against the principal amount of some one or more of the assessments heretofore levied, and the principal amount for which each certificate is to be issued after giving effect to such credit, if any, are hereby enumerated and itemized as follows a III When each of the certificates has. been duly executed as hereinabove provided, same shall be delivered to the Tax Assessor-Collector as part payment of the contract price IV The City Secretary is hereby directed to engross and enroll this ordinance by copying the caption of same in the Minute Book of the City Council of Fort Worth, Texas, and by filing the complete ordinance in the appropriate Ordinance Records of said City ti..
