AN ORDINANCE VACATING ABANDONING AND CLOSING
THE 7400 BLOCK OF HIGHWAY I-30 EAST FROM THE
EAST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE. OF SANDY LANE EXTENDING
ALONG THE SOUTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF I-30 EAST
A DISTANCE OF 883 55 FEET EAST OF SANDY LANE
PROVIDING FOR REVERSION. OF FEE IN SAID LAND
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH TEXAS
SECTION 1
That a portion of the 7400 block of Highway I-30 East
being a tract of land dedicated as "Future Turnpike Access' in
Volume 388-95 page 13 and 14 of the Tarrant County Plat Records
and being further described as follows
COMMENCING at a point said point being the point
of intersection of the North line of~Ederville Road
and the East Line of Sandy Lane
Thence as follows
North O1° 41' East 25 03 feet to a corner
North 18° 45' East 425 30 feet to a corner
North 29° 59' East 95 70 feet to the point
of BEGINNING said point being also the Northwest
corner of Lot 1 Block 2-R Carol Oaks North
Addition as recorded in Volume 388-95 page 13
and 14 Tarrant County Plat records
Thence as follows

South 89° 15' East
South 89° /+9' East
South 80° 02' West

right-of-way for street purposes
SECTION 2
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated
street right-of-way is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent
owner as provided by law SAVE AND EXCEPT that easements are retained
for any and all existing utilities
SECTION 3
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed

force and effect from and after the. date of its passage and it is
so ordained

Folsom Investments Inc owner of .all .abutting property has. requested that the
City vacate the 7400 block of the right=of-way reserved for the proposed inter-
change at Sandy Lane and I-30 a variable width from 186' at Sandy Lane along the
south right-of-way line of I-30 (Fort Worth/Dallas Turnpike) adjacent to Lots
1 and 2 Block 2-R Carol`Oaks North Addition, to 0' at a point 883 55' east of
Sandy Lane as shown on the attached map
The subject street right-of-way acqu-fired by dedication is not open on the
ground and is unimproved but contains utility facilities The subject vacation
request is made in order to replat the subject street right-of-way with adjoining
property to expand the building area since it is no longer required because the
proposed interchange has been deleted from consideration and construction
Reviewing City departments private utility companies and the State Department of
Highways and Public Transportation have raised no objections to this request
provided the vacated right-of-way is replatted with adjoining property and the
required replat dedicates utility easemen~.s for the existing utility facilities
A satisfactory replat has been submitted
The Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that the subject
street right-of-way be vacated
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating the 7400 block of the
right-of-way reserved for the proposed interchange at Sandy Lane and T-30
