HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 8384Y ORDINANCE NO _~3~ AN ORDINANCE INCREASING BY $8 573 THE ESTIMATED REVENUES ACCRUING TO THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1980-1981 AND APPROPRIATING FROM THE INCREASED ESTIMATED REVENUES OF THE GENERAL FUND THE SUM OF $8 573 TO THE PARK AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT BUDGET ACCOUNT NO 80-20-60 FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING 50°s OF THE SALARY OF AN EDUCATION HORTICULTURIST FOR THE BOTANIC GARDENS PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH TEXAS SECTION 1 That the estimated revenues accruing to the General Fund of the City of Fort Worth for the Fiscal Year 1980-1981 are hereby increased by $8 573 and that in addition to providing the City Manager with such other revenue as may be secured from various sources included in Ordinance No 8157 and in the Budget of the City Manager there shall also be appropriated from the increased revenues of the General Fund the sum of $8 573 to the Park and Recreation Department Budget Account No 80-20-60 to fund 50~ of the salary of an Education Horticulturist for the Botanic Gardens SECTION 2 Should any portion section or part of a section of this Ordinance be declared invalid inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction such decision opinion or judgment shall in no way impair the remaining portions sections or parts of sections of this Ordinance which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect ~ SECTION 3 That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No 8157 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this '~ ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations in which instances said conflicting provisions are hereby expressly repealed SECTION 4 That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage and it is so ordained APPROVED AS TO FORM AND LEGALITY City Attorney ADOPTED EFFECTIVE -2- -~; pity ®f ' ~®a°t ~®~°t~., ~'~.~a~ J6~ayor and Coa„~n~~.l Comm~aa~n~~ation DATE REFERENCE SUBJECT Acceptance of a Gift for the PAGE NUMBER Partial Funding of a Position 1 7/28/81 **G-5057 at the Botanic Garden 1 of The Fort Worth Park and Recreation Department has received an unbudgeted $8,573 for the funding of 50% of the salary of an Educational Horticulturist (excluding fringe benefits) at the Botanic Gardens through May 1982 As this gift was not included in either the 1980-81 Estimated Budgeted Revenue or Appropriations Council action is required to appropriate these funds for their intended purpose Recommendations T.t is recommended that the City Council 1 Accept the gift in the amount of $8 573 and 2 Adopt a supplemental appropriations ordinance appropriating $8 573 from increased .estimated budgeted revenues of the general fund to the Park and Recreation Account No 80-20-60 for the purpose of funding 5Q% of the salary of an Education Horticulturist (excluding fringe benefits) at the Botanic Gardens VS plg ApQR4VED 8Y C1~_Y_ (~U~Ci~. ~~ ~~ J f t ~e SU8AA1'TTED FOR THE j DISPOSITION BY COUNCIL: PROCESSED BY CITY MANAGER'S f f)FFICE BY: ^ APPROVED ORIGINATING ^ OTHER (DESCRIBE) DEPARTMENT HEAD: Charles Cam b CITY SECRETARY FOR ADOITiONAL INFORMATION ~~~~ GATE CONTACT Charles Cam bell Ext .r• ~Q~.
