Dear Mr. Weiss: Enclosed please find a copy of the proposed fee and manhour requirements to accomplish the modifications to the proposed drainage system along Rosedale Street. An evaluation of the existing system will be required in order to determine the capacity of the old system and the total storm discharge flowing to the system. Design of the new system will assure that the new system is not being overcharged, thus creating problems for the new drainage system. Finally, the plan sheets, quantities and estimate will be updated and re-issued for construction. Hours and mileage have been added for travel to meetings at your offices. Please call me at 972-406-6961 if I can be of further assistance. 3 Sincerel Gre 1 o g g Senior Project Manager 4 I URS Corporation Graystone Centre 3010 LBJ Freeway, Suite 1300 Dallas,TX 75234 Tel: 972.406.6950 Fax: 972.406.6951 ATTACHMENT A SCOPE OF SERVICES TASK 1 Develop temporary drainage solution, without engineering calculations, for Fire Station construction south of Rosedale Sta. 10+500. City of Fort Worth will work with their contractor during construction to install temporary solution. 1. Connect existing system to new box culvert at stub-out located left of Sta. 10+514 2. Development of traffic control is the responsibility of the City of Fort Worth or its' contractor. TASK 2 Develop alternatives for connection of relief overflow structure from existing City of Fort Worth 54" arch pipe to new 3000mm X 1800 mm box culvert installed by the City to control drainage on Rosedale. Upon acceptance of desired solution, URS will design the overflow structure, complete the construction estimate, and deliver signed and sealed plans to TxDOT for inclusion as a field change to the project. 1. Calculate storm water in existing 54" arch pipe drainage area to 10-year design storm, as was designed originally for the new box culvert installed on Rosedale, at the alternative connection points. 2. Calculate the maximum amount of storm water that can be conveyed in the new box culvert without compromising the integrity of the Rosedale Street drainage system, maintaining the hydraulic gradient to one-foot below the top of curb at all curb inlets. 3. Design the relief overflow structure to convey the additional water away from the 54" arch pipe to the new box culvert. 4. Re-calculate the integrity of the existing 54" arch pipe utilizing the adjusted volume of storm water in the 54" arch pipe. 5. Develop Field Change quantity summary sheets, drainage area maps denoting storm water conveyance from one system to the other, hydraulic calculation sheets and plan/profile sheets showing the connected systems. iiylL,Ll ?I\:iL`14'i,:!(Iy1 EXHIBIT E }FEE PROPOSAL 'URS`CORP URATION CITY OF FT.)YORT 11 MANHOURS DIRECT TOTAL LAB,OH Work Description (Labor Rates) "Q at5,OR HRS &PROFIT Meetings/Additional Responsibilities 20 20 $2,800 EVALUATE EXISTING 10 20 IO 0 40 $4,200 DESIGN PROPOSED 10 30 30 IO 0 80 $7,550 MODIFY SHEETS AND QUANTITIES 10 10 20 0 40 $3,300 TOTAL URS DIRECT LABOR COST 40 60 50 30 0 ISO 17,850.00 URS-TOTAL LABOR COST W/OH 7110*64 URS-TOTAL PROJECT INDIRECT COSTS Printing and Reproduction $50 Mileage $100 CADD&Computer $200 Express Delivery $200 mn TOTAL URS INDIRECT COSTS 5550 AULTANTS K: 7 a-mJ vv„ °bN 5-0 C2 'TOTALPROJECTCOST ' $18,400
