AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE ALLEY RUNNING ,.EST FROI1 BELMONT AVENUE BETWEElT FIFTEENTH AMID SIXTEEi?TH STREETS IF BLOCK Ill BELI;iONT TERRACE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT Ttj "RTH, TEXAS BE CLOSED. iJHEFAS, it appearing to the Board of Commissioners that the alley running west from Belmont Avenue for a dis- tance of approximately 160 feet betoween Fifteenth and Six- teenth Streets in Block 111, Belmont Terrace Addition to the City of Fort Worth is not beim used at the present time for any purpose and there is no probability of its ever be- ing used for traffic or as a public thoroughfare; and T; REAS, it further ayppearinJ that all of the residents and property o vners in said addition desire that the use of said thoroughfare be discontinued; and V�HEREAS people who own the land contiguous anti sdja- cent to this alley, eing the o�,�ners in fee of the said pas- sageway, are anxious to have the city relinquish its con- trol over same in order that they way extend their boundary line over sacrie, as provided by law, and improve their proja- erty, NOT, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAIiSED BY TIDE BOARD OF COIZ.1ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF FORT T<ORTH: SECTION I That the alley or thoroughfare running ,Joest from Bel- wont Avenue approximately 160 feet to an alley! parallel with Sixteenth Street and lying and being between lot 15 and the south ends of lots . 12, 13 and 14 in block 111,Belmont Terrace Addition to the City of Fort ti;orth, Tarrant County, Texas, be closed and itsuser::for traffic purposes be discontinued and the City of Fort Worth does hereby relin:juish all of its right, interest, claim, title or right of control to the above described lot, tract or parcel of land. SFCTICT II That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after the date of its passage. I, C. S.
