BE IT ORD"' INLD by the Board of Co=issiouers of the City of Fort � orth, Te----as; SECTION. la That an election is hereby ordered for June 17th31 19199 to be held within the legal hours, at i�,hich elec- tion there will be submitted to the qualified voters of the City of Fort Dior th a *proposed. amanement to the charter of said City of Fort eorth as officially published by said city, V.hich amendment, if adopted, will add to said charter Section 15 a of Chapter XV, reading as follows: "In audition to all other taxes levied for school purposes 42a the City of sort :forth, there shall be levied and col- lected each year a tax of two cents on each y"�100.00 of the value of all proper t;; subject to taxation in said city, the money: der- ived from which tam shall be paid over by the City assessor aa1cl Collector to the 'Treasurer of the Board. of Trustees of the Inde- pendent ;school District of Fort L arth in the saz.e manner as other l _- ' S taxes levied for school purposes are to be paid over. T:n.e moneys arising from the levy and collection of the tax hereby provided for shall constitute a separate fund from all other school funds and shall bip devoted to the establishment an& maintenance, under the supervision and control of said Board of Trustees, of an efficient system of medical inspection and health protection in the publie schools of said city. The tax hereby provided for shall not affect the maximum limit as now fixed or as may hereafter be fixed in other portions of the city charter for taxes for school purposes generally. " SECTION 2: That the City Secretary shall, as required by law, mail a copy of such,_proposed amendment to each qualified voter in said city according to the list as shown by the rolls of the County Tax Collector of the year ending January SECTION 3: That this ordinance shall be pub- lished one day in the official newspaper of the City of Fort Worth. SECTION 4: That notice of the polling places in the city where such election will be held and of the presiding officers holding same vrill be given in a proclamation by the mayor.
