RATIFICATION OF OIL AND GAS LEASES

§ KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
COUNTY OF JOHNSON §
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth, Texas (hereinafter "the City") is the owner of
certain non-executive mineral interests in the lands covered by the Oil and Gas Leases described
in Exhibit A;
WHEREAS, the above referenced leases are hereinafter referred to as "said Leases",
and,
WHEREAS, said land being more fully described in said Leases, and reference to the
description in said Leases and to the record thereof is being made herein for all purposes; and,
WHEREAS, said Leases are now owned by Chesapeake Exploration, L.L.C., an
Oklahoma Limited Liability Company, whose mailing address is P. O. Box 18496, Oklahoma
City, Oklahoma 73154,
NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the premises and Ten Dollars
($10.00) and other good and valuable consideration to the undersigned in hand paid by
Chesapeake Exploration L.L.C., an Oklahoma Limited Liability Company, the receipt of
which is hereby acknowledged and confessed, the City does hereby ADOPT, RATIFY and
CONFIRM said Leases in all of their terms and provisions, including any Amendments and/or
Assignments of record, if any, to said Leases, and the undersigned does hereby lease, grant,
demise and let said land unto Chesapeake Exploration L.L.C. subject to and in accordance
with all of the terms and provisions of said Leases, and any Amendments and/or Assignments of
record, if any, thereto, and does hereby agree and declare that said Leases in all of their terms
and provisions, are binding, valid, and subsisting oil, gas and mineral leases.
