AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAME OF R W PECKHAM
BOULEVARD WHICH DIVIDES WESTPOINT ADDITICN PHASE
I AND II AND CHAPEL CREEK ADDITION TO CHAPEL CREEK
BOULEVARD AND EXTENDS FROM THE SOUTH RIGHT-OF-WAY
LINE OF THE 10 000 BLOCK OF WHITE SETTLEMENT ROAD
SOUTH 2113 38 FEET MAKING THIS CUMULATIVE OF
SIMILAR ORDINANCES AFFECTING STREET NAMES REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH TEXAS
SECTION 1
That the name of R W Peckham Boulevard which divides
Westpoint Addition Phase I and II and Chapel Creek Addition and
extends from the south right-of-way line of the 10 000 block of
White Settlement Road south 2113 38 feet be and the same is hereby
changed to Chapel Creek Boulevard
SECTION 2
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of all other
ordinances affecting the names of streets in the City of Fort Worth
except insofar as it may be in conflict with the provisions of these
ordinances in which instance they are hereby expressly repealed
SECTION 3
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
and effect from and after the date of its passage and it is so
ordained

MrQ Joseph S Howell ITT, has requested that the street name R W Peckham
N~~7~~oiilevard be changed to "Chapel Creek Boulevard
This thoroughfare divides two additions to the City of Fort Worth
(A) Westpoint Addition,. Plisse T & II (East side of R W Peckham
Boulevard) and
(B) Chapel Creek Addition (West side of R W Peckham Boulevard)
The location of the proposed street name change is situated in the far west
side of Fort Worth west of West hoop 820 (also known as Jim Wright Freeway
South) and extends south from the 10 000 block of White Settlement Road
commencing at the northwest corner of Lot 3 Block 35 Westpoint Addition
Phase II Section I, as recorded in volume 388-123 pages 67 and 68 P RTC T
and extending south/southwesterly 2 113 38 feet along the east right-of-way
line of R W Peckham Boulevard (see attached map)
The Department of Transportation., Signs and Markings Division has stated that
R W Peckham signs have been produced at a cost of $400 00 however the
signs have not been erected due to the lack of curb ing improvements on the
boulevard The applicant ha,s made the necessary arrangements with the Depart-
ment of Transportation regardirig~r~e,imbursement to the City of Fort Worth for
cost of street signs Al1..other reviewing City departments the Postmaster
and private utility companies have offered no objections to this proposed
street name change A public hearing is scheduled for today's City Council
meeting and all abutting property owners have been notified for the scheduled
hearing
Recommendation
It is recommended that an..ordinanee.be adopted changing the name of R W
Peckham Boulevard to Chapel Greek Boulevard
