OF CRAWFORD STREET IN MIRE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, AND AUTHORIZ—
ING ITS EIECUTIOIT: IMING APPROPRIATION FOR THE INDEBTEDNESS I1T_

MATES.
WHIMEA.S, on the 30th day of January, 1952, by Ordinance passed and
approved by the City Council of the City of Fort %'forth being Ordinance No.
2929, the City determined the necessity for and ordered the improvement
of a -portion of Crawford Street, to—wit:
CRAItFOF..D STREET from the northerly line of Morphy Street to the south—
erly line of Me.gnolia. Avenue; and
1151MMAS, subsequent to the passage and approval of said ordinance,
plans and. specifications for said., improvements were submitted by the City
Engineer and said. plans and specifications were approved and adopted by the
City Council; and.,
GRAS, notice to bidders was given as required by the City Charter;
and,
PTHEEAS, the bid of Texas Bitulithic Company, was found to be the
lowest and best bid for the making and construction of said im7provements,
to—wit, excavating present street, placing thereon a 4 inch compacted
gravel foundation course, and, paving with 12 inches of Hot Mix Asphaltic
Surface on 32of Hot I4lix Asphaltic Concrete Base with combined concrete curb
and gutter, together with incidentals and appurtenances, all as provided
by said plans anti specifications;
ITOW, THEREFO N,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TE'MA-S:
SECTION 1.
That the work of making and constructing such improvements and con—
tract therefor is hereby awarded to Texe,s Bitulit'Zic Company, at and for the
prices stated in the proposal of the said company and as reported and re—
commended by the Department of Ilublic Works, The Mayor and City Secretary
are hereby directed to execute the said contract in the name of the City
of Fort Worth, Texas, and to impress the corporate seal of the City there—
on, the said Contract embracing therein, among other things, the prices
for the work.
SECTION 2.
That to provide for the payment of the indebtedness incurred by the City
of Fort Worth by said Contract, there is hereby appropriated out of available
funds which have been set aside for said purpose, an amount sufficient to pay
said indebtedness so incurred.
SECTION 3.
That the City �@ngineer of the City of Fort Worth be and he is hereby or—
dered and directed to file with the City Council estimates of the costs of such
improvements in accordance with the terms of the powers and provisions of Chap—
ter 106 of the acts of the First called Session of the Fortieth Legislature
of the State of Texas, now shown as Article 1105b of Vernon's Civil Statutes
of the State of Texas, Annotated$ which laur has been adopted as an amendment
to and made a part of the Charter of the City of Fort Worth..

Your Department of Public Works to which was referred the Bids for
the improvement of Crawford Street from the northerly line of Morphy to
the southerly line of Magnolia Avenue, in the City of Fort Worth, Texas, here—
by respectfully reports to your Honorable Body th2.t it recommends the ac—
ceptance of the Dids of Texas Bitulithic Company, for the performance of said
work at and for the following prices, to—wit:
