AN ORD_3NANCE VACATING ABANDONING AND CLOSING
THE 16 FOOT WIDE ALLEY EXTENDING FROM THE SOUTH
PROPERTY LINE OF LOTS 13-17 BLOCK 510 CHAMBERLIN
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS ADDITION SECOND FILING SOUTH 16
FEET AND EXTENDING IN LENGTH FROM THE WEST RIGHT-
OF-WAY LINE OF GUILFORD ROAD TO THE EAST RIGHT-OF-
WAY LINE OF RIDGLEA LANE PROVIDING FOR REVERSION
OF FEE IN SAID LAND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH TEXAS
SECTION 1
That the 16 foot wide alley extending from the south
property line of Lots 13-17 Block 510 Chamberlin Arlington Heights
Addition Second Filing south 16 feet and extending in length from
the west right-of-way line of Guilford Road to the east right-of-way
line of Ridglea Lane be and the .same is vacated abandoned and
permanently closed as a right-of-way for alley purposes
SECTION 2
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated
alley is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as
provided by law
SECTION 3
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed
SECTION 4
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
and effect from and after the date of its passage and it is so
ordained

Mr George Wilkes Land Agent, on behalf of the City of Fort Worth owner of all
abutting property has requested that the City vacate the l6' wide alley between
Lots 13-17 and a portion of Out Lot 'L" (also des cribed as Lot 2-R by Tax
Division records). all in Block 510 Chamberlin Arlington Heights Addition
2nd Filing as recorded in Volume 63-A Page 43 PRTCT from Ridglea Lane east
to Guilford Road as shown on the attached map
Since all the surrounding property is City owned the purpose of this request is
to consolidate the unnecessary alley with the abutting property so that all of
the consolidated property can be placed on the market as surplus property and
sold
The subject alley acquired by dedication, is not open on the ground is
unimproved and contains no utility facilities
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no objec-
tions to this request provided the vacated right-of-way is replatted with=adja-
cent property A satisfactory replat has been submitted
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that thee.
subject alley be vacated
Recommendation
It is recommended that ari ordinance be adopted vacating the alley in Chamberlin
Arli~ton Heights Addition 2nd Filing Lots 13-17 and a portion of Out Lof "L"
