HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 18524-03-2009Ordinance No. 18524-43-2449 AN ORDINANCE INCREASING ESTIMATED APPROPRIATIONS IN THE ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT FUND (R103} IN THE AMOUNT OF w67,641.40 AND DECREASING THE UNRESERVED RETAINED EARNINGS BY THE SAME AMOUNT FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRANSFERRING EUNDS TO THE ENVIRONMENTAC_ MANAGEMENT FUND (R141), FOR ASBESTOS REMOVAL AND INTERIOR DEMOLITION SERVICES AT JAMES GUINN SCHOOL; PROVIDING FOR A SEVERAB(LITY Ctr4USE; MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE ET ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1 That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for Fiscal Year 2048- 2009 in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated appropriations in the Environmental Management Fund (R143} in the amount of $87,041.00 and decreasing the unreserved retained earnings by the same amount for the purpose of transferring funds to the project portion of the Environmental Management Fund (R141 }, for asbestos removal and interior demolition services at James Guinn School. SECTION 2. That should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in na way impair the remaining portions, sections; or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full farce and effect. SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall be cumtdative of Ordinance Na. 18283 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 4. Approve the transfer of $67,041.00 in undesignated funds in the Environmental Management Fund (R103} to the Environmental Management Fund (8101}; 3. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the Environmental Management Fund (R101} by $67,041.00; and 4. Authorize the City Manager to execute a contract with Eagle Remediation Services, Inc., for asbestos removal and interior demolition services in the amount of $67,041.00 for the renovation of the ,lames Guinn School-North Building, located at Interstate 35 South and Rosedale Street.
