HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 8252ORDINANCE NO ~ ~ S~ ORDINANCE ACCEPTING IMP$OVEMENTS ON A PORTION of ..LONG AVENUE AND PORTIONS OP SUNDRY OTHE#~ 'STREETS' AVENUES AND PIIELIC PLACES IN THE CITY OF FORT WORTHs TEXASg DECLARING THE CONTRACT WITH TEXAS BITULITHIC COMPANY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID IMPROVEMENTS FUL3,Y COMPLETED .AND PERFORMEDg DIRECTING TtiE TSSUANCEy EXECUTION A1VD DELIVERY OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OP SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS LEVIED AFTER .GIVING EFFECT TO SUNDRY CREDITS IiEREIN AUTHORIZED AND ALLOWED AGAINST SOME OF SAID ASSESSMENTS DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY TO ENGROSS AND ENROLL THIS ORDINANCE BY COPYING THE CAPTION OF SAME IN THE MINUTE EOOIC OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF FORT WORTHe TEXAS9 AND EY FILING THE COMPLETE_.ORDINANCE IN APPROPRIATE ORDINANCE RECORDS OF SAID CITYe AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREASa the City of Fort Worths Texas9 has heretofore entered into a contract with TPXAC Riti.,lithir Cnm anti a for the making ~acad construction of certain street improvements on tttie thereinafter described portions of streets9 avenues and public places in said City9 tom{it LONG AVENUE From Sylvania Avenue to Beach Street known and designated as Project No 10'4-23000-150, a seven=.inch thick reinforced concrete pavement on a six-inch thick lime stabilized sub- grade with seven-inch high superimposed concrete curb on two thirty-six foot wide t;ra>ffic lanes with a twenty-eight foot median ~` ,~ LvfiEREAS, by sundry proceedings heretofore passed by the City Council of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, including Ordinance No 7773 , a portion of the cost of said improvements was levied and assessed against the respective properties abutting on each of the above described portions of streets, avenues and public places and against the real and true owners thereof; and, vuHEIiEAS, the City council of the pity of Fort ~+orth, Texas, has, upon review, found and determined that, in some instances, in order to effect substantial justice and equality, it is desirable and necessary to grant and issue certain credits against some one or more of the assessments levied by Ordinance No 777 , and Y~~HEI3EA~, the street improvements hereinabove mentioned have been completed upon each of the portions of streets., avenues and public places hereinabove described, and have been inspected and found to be in complete accordance with the contract therefor; NU6u, TrIEh~,FORE, BE IN ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, THAT I The improvements on each of the portions of streets, avenues and public places hereinabove described be, and they are hereby, accepted;
