G ' s AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT A PORTION OF CAMP BOWIE BOULEVARD RIGHT-OF-WAY ABUTTING THE NORTH LOT LINE OF LOT 1, BLOCK 13 , RIDGLEA HILLS ADDI- TION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS , BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSED ; PROVID- ING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LAND ; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS : SECTION 1. That the portion of Camp Bowie Boulevard right-of-way abutting the north lot Line of Lot 1, Block 13 , Ridglea Hills Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas , being one hundred and eighty (180) feet long and nine- teen (19) feet wide, be and the same is hereby closed, aban- doned and permanently vacated as a street or public thorough- fare of any kind or character whatever, save and except that easements are reserved for any and all existing utilities . SECTION 2 . That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee to the land in said street is hereby released and shall re- vert to the adjacent owner of the fee as provided by law. SECTION 3 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4 . That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage . FI`�' /10/69 PZ-351 Road - 6500 Block 1 (V-69-11) 1 or GRAHAM N ALLS BUCKMANHTOWER Sinclair Oil Corporation, owner of Lot 1, Block 13, Ridglea Addition, fet°' has requested the City to vacate that portion of Camp Bowie Boulevard right-of-way abutting its north lot line which is 180 feet long and 19 feet wide, as shown on the attached map. This proposed vacation is identical to one recently approved by the City Council on the east side of Clayton Road East (V-69-9) . The subject right-of-way, acquired by dedication, is not open on the ground. The existing 165 feet right-of-way is greater than is needed and the remaining 146 feet is all that will be required in the future. City departments and private utility companies have reviewed this request and have no objection to this vacation, provided the applicant plats the vacated right-of-way with its adjoining property and retains the vacated right-of-way as a utility easement. The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends adoption of an ordinance vacating the public right-of-way as requested, subject to the conditions recommended above by the City departments and private utility companies. The applicant has submitted a satisfactory replat. Recommendation It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating the subject right-of-way as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
