ORDINANCE NO. kIJCal AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE CUL-DE-SAC ABUT- TING LOTS 35 THROUGH 39, BLOCK 11, LINWOOD ADDI- TION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSED; PROVID- ING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDI- NANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the hereinafter described portion of Bristol Road abutting Lots 35 through 39, Block 11, Linwood Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, be and the same is hereby closed, abandoned and permanently vacated as a street or public thoroughfare of any kind or character what- ever,, save and except that easements are reserved for any and all existing utilities: Beginning at a point in the north line of Bristol Road, North 89 degrees 56 minutes East, 203.0 feet from the intersection of the north line of Bristol Road with the east line of University Drive; Thence Easterly, along a curve to the right having a radius of 90.0 feet, a distance of 250.5 feet to the end of curve; Thence South 20 degrees 30 minutes East, 16.2 feet to the beginning of a curve to the left having a radius of 180.0 feet; Thence along said curve to the left 42 .94 feet to a point for corner at the southwest corner of Lot 35, Block 11 of said Linwood Addition; Thence South 57 degrees 19 minutes West, 7.6 feet to a point for corner; Thence Westerly, along a curve to the left hav- ing a radius of 170.0 feet, a distance of 96.18 feet to the end of curve; Thence South 89 degrees 56 minutes West, 102.8 feet to the point of beginning, and containing 13, 123 .0 square feet of land more or less SECTION 2. That theinterest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee to the land in said portion of Bristol Road is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner of the fee as provided by law. SECTION 3 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. (V-73-25) 1 of 1 A. P Simons Company, owner of all abutting property, has requested that the City vacate the cul-de-sac in the 3000 block of Bristol Road abutting Lots 35 through 39, Block 11, Linwood Addition, as shown on the attached map Subject right-of-way is paved, with existing curb and gutter. There is an existing sanitary sewer located in subject right-of-way. City departments and private utility companies have reviewed this request and have no object- ions provided property is replatted and all necessary easements are provided. Community Facility Contract #7775 has been executed to cover curb and gutter construction. The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that sub- ject right-of-way be abandoned as requested. The City staff has received a satisfactory replat. Recommendation It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject right-pf-way as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
