r,'a~, ~ '1' ~: ORDINANCE NO. ~ o ` ® - AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ADOPTING ESTIMATES OF THE COST OF IMPROVE- MENTS AND OF AMOUNTS TO BE ASSESSED FOR IMPROVEMENTS ON A PORTION OF PREMIER STREET AND PORTIONS OF SUNDRY OTHER STREETS, AVENUES AND PUBLIC PLACES IN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS FIXING TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING TO THE OWNERS OF ABUTTING PROPERTY AND TO ALL OTHERS INTERESTED; DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY TO GIVE NOTICE OF SUCH HEARING, AND DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY TO ENGROSS AND ENROLL THIS ORDINANCE BY COPYING THE CAPTION OF SAME IN THE MINUTE BOOK OF THE CITY COUNCIL AND BY FILING THE CpMPLETE ORDINANCE IN THE APPROPRIATE ORDINANCE RECORDS OF THE CITY, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, has heretofore ordered that each of the hereinafter described portions of streets, avenues and public places in the City of Fort Worth, Texas, be im- proved by raising, grading and filling same and by constructing thereon the following to-wit PREMIER STREET Fr€~m 850' east of Sylvania to 1100' east, known and designated as Project No 021-36540, aseven-inch thick reinforced concrete pavement on a six-inch thick lime stabilized subgrade with seven-inch high superimposed concrete curb on a forty-foot roadway re; ;~. together with concrete curbs, gutters driveways and incidentals to such improvements on proper grade and line where same are not already so constructed together with storm sewers and drains and other necessary incidentals and appurtenances all of said im- provements to be constructed as and where shown on the Plans and in strict accordance with the Plans and Specifications therefor contract therefore has been made and entered into with S.R.O.Asuhalt Inc. ; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fort Worth Texas has caused the Public Works Director to prepare and file estimates of the cost of such improvements and estimates of the amount per front foot proposed to be assessed against abutting, property and the owners thereof and such estimates have been examined NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS THAT I Such estimates be and they are hereby adopted and approved II It is hereby found and determined that the cost of improvements on each portion of streets avenues and public places hereinafter described with the amount or amounts ger front foot proposed to be assessed for such improvements against abutting pro- perty and the owners thereof, are as follows to-wit PREMIER STREET From '850' east of Sylvania to 1100' east, known and designated as Project No 021-36540 The estimated cost of improvements is $.136,364.12 the estimated amount per front foot to be assessed against abutting property and the owners thereof for superimpose concrete curb ~~~#~#~~~# is $ 1.48 the estimated amount per front foot to be assessed against abutting property and the owners thereof for pavement is $'55.48 , the estimated amount per front foot to be assessed against abutting property and the owners thereof for _~_ wide concrete sidewalk fs $ -0- the estimated amount per square foot to be assessed against abutting property and the owners thereof for six-inch thick concrete driveway is $ _(1_ per square foot the total estimated amount per front foot to be assessed against abutting property and the owners thereof is $_~_gg plus the cost incurred for concrete driveway construction where specified v III A hearing be given and held by and before the City Council of the City of Fort Worth, Texas to all owning or claiming any property abutting upon said portions of highways, streets, avenues and public places, as well as to all owning or claiming any interest in any such property Such hearing shall be given and held on the 1St day of April 19~Q_, at 7.30 P.M_, in the Council Chamber in 'the City Hall in the Cfty of Fort Worth Texas, and the City Secretary is hereby directed to give or cause to be given notice ,of the time and place of such hearing and of ocher matters and facts in accordance with the terms and provisions of an Act passed at the First Called Session of the-- Fortieth Legislature of the State of Texas, and known ;as Chapter 106 of the Acts of said Session, now being known as Article 1105b of Ver'non's Texas Civil Statutes as amended by Acts 1967, 60th Legislature Page 365, Chapter 176, Section 1, emergency effective Mayr12, 1967 .Such 'notice shall be by advertisement inserted at least three (3) times in a newspaper published in the--City of Fort Worth, Texas, the first publication to be made at least twenty-one (21) days before the date of said hearing Said notice shall comply with and be in accordance with the terms and provisions of said Act as amended The City Secretary is further directed to give or cause to be given personal notice of the time and .glace of such hearing to all owning or claiming any property abutting on said portions of tighways, streets, avenues and public places, as' well as to aI1 owning or claiming ..any interest in. any such property Such personal notice shall be in writing and shall be given or caused to be given by the City Secretary by depositing such written notice in the United.
