AN ORDINANCE VACATING ABANDONING AND CLOSING
A PORTION OF BYERS AVENUE IN THE 5300 BLOCK
ABUTTING BLOCKS G AND H CHAMBERLIN ARLINGTON
HEIGHTS FIRST FILING A WIDTH VARIABLE FROM
10 FEET TO 30 FEET AND A LENGTH OF 534 05
FEET EXTENDING EASTWARD FROM THE SOUTHWEST
CORNER OF BLOCK 1 HIGHLAND PARK ADDITION PRO-
VIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE FEE IN SAID LAND
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH
TEXAS
SECTION 1
That a portion of Byers Avenue in the 5300 Block
abutting blocks G and H Chamberlin Arlington Heights First
Filing a width variable from 10 feet to 30 feet and a length of
534 05 feet extending eastward from the southeast: corner of
Block 1 Highland Park Addition more particularly described
as follows
BEGINNING at an iron rod in place at the
southeast cornier of Block 1 Highland
Park Addition as recorded in Volume 388-118
page 84 of thE~ plat records of Tarrant
County Texas said point being in the present
north line of Byers Avenue
THENCE N 00"53' W along the east line of
said Block 1 Highland Park Addition and
said north line of Byers Avenue a distance
of 10 0' to a point in the south line of
Lot 13 Block H Chamberlin Arlington Heights
First Filing
THENCE Alon€; the common line between said
Blocks G and H Chamberlin Arlington Heights
First Filing and said Byer Avenue
S 89°25 08 E a distance of 17 4'
N 79°15'52 E a distance of 101 9'
S 89°25'08 E a distance of 403 7'
THENCE S 32"36'38'~E leaving the said south
line of Block; G and H Chamberlin Arlington

to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing
20 770 square feet more or less
Be and the same is hereby vacated abandoned and permanently closed
as a right-of-way for street: purposes
SECTION 2
That the fee to the land in the above described right-of-

way is hereby released and hall revert to the adjacent owner
as provided by law
SECTION 3
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are repealed
SECTION 4
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage and
it is so ordained

The subject right-of-way acquired by dedication consists of unimproved surplus
parkway along the worth side. of Byers Avenue
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no ~bjec-
tions to this request provided the vacated right-of-way is replatted with
abutting property A satisfactory replat has been submitted
'The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that the
subject street 'right-of-way be vacated
Recommendation
It is recommended that. an ordinance be adopted vacating the subject Byers Avenue
