ORDINANCE NO 8 ~
AN ORDINANCE VACATING ABANDONING AND CLOSING THE
STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY IN THE 400 BLOCK OF WIMBERLY
STREET A WIDTH OF 75 73 FEET ADJACENT TO SHAMROCK
AVENUE RIGHT-OF-WAY A WIDTH OF 75 4 FEET ADJACENT
TO THE WEST FORK OF THE TRINITY RIVER A LENGTH OF
13 5 FEET ON THE WEST ADJACENT TO LOT 1-A BLOCK 12
BAILEY INDUSTRIAL ADDITION AND THE 20 FOOT BY 20
FOOT PUBLIC OPEN SPACE EASEMENT AT THE INTERSECTION
OF SHAMROCK AVENUE AND WIMBERLY STREET SAME BEING
THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF LOT 1-A BLOCK 12 BAILEY
INDUSTRIAL ADDITION PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION
OF FEE IN SAID LAND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH TEXAS
SECTION 1
That the street right-of-way in the 400 block of Wimberly
Street a width of 75 73 feet adjacent to Shamrock Avenue right-of-
way a width of 75 4 feet adjacent to the West Fork of the Trinity
River a length of 13 5 feet on the west adjacent to the Board of
Park Commissioners' property and a length of 31 7 feet on the east
adjacent to Lot 1-A Block 12 Bailey Industrial Addition more
particularly described as follows
Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot
1-A in Block 12 of Bailey Industrial
Addition as said Lot appears upon the map
recorded in Volume 388-67 page 41 of the
Tarrant County Deed Records and being in
:the north line of said Shamrock Avenue
Thence north 82 degrees-02 minutes west
75-73/100 feet to the southeast corner of
the tract described in the deed to Board
of Park Commissioners of the City of Fort
Worth recorded in volume 1214 page 269
of the said Deed Records
Thence north along the east line of said
Park tract and the west-line of Wimberly Street
13-5/10 feet to a line for the West Fork of
the Trinity River
Thence north 84 degrees-09 minutes east along
the said line for River 75-4/10 feet to the
northwest corner of said Lot 1-A
Thence south along the west line of said
Lot 1-A and the east line of Wimberly Street
31-7/10 feet to the place of beginning and
containing 1694 square feet

and the 20 foot by 20 foot public open space easement at the
intersection of Shamrock Avenue and Wimberly Street same being
the southwest corner of Lot 1-A Block 12 Bailey Industrial
Addition, are hereby vacated abandoned and permanently closed
as a street right-of-way and as a public open space easement
SECTION 2
That the fee in the above described -street right-of-way
and easement is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent
owners as provided by law
SECTION 3
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed
SECTION 4
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
and effect from and after the date of its passage and it is so
ordained

Mr Blake Aamman with the consent of all abutting owners has requested that the
City vacate Wimberly Street in the 400 block a width of 75 73' adjacent to
the Shamrock Avenue right-of-way a width of 75 4' adjacent to the West Fork of
the Trinity River a length of 13 5' on the west adjacent to the Board of Park
Commissioners' property and a length of 31 7'an the east adjacent to Lot lA
Block 12 Bailey Industrial Addition as described in the attached metes and
bounds description and to vacate the 20' x 20' Public Open Space Easement at
the intersection of Shamrock Avenue and Wimberly Street same being the southwest
corner of Lot 1-A Block 12 Bailey Industrial Addition as shown on the attached
map
The subject street right-af-way and Public Open Space Easement, acquired by dedi-
cation are not in use, and public facilities therein are no longer in use
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no objec-
tio~zs to this request provided the vacated street right-of-way and public open
space easement are replatted with adjoining property A satisfactory replat
has been submitted
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that the sub-
ject street right-of-way and Public Open Spare Easement be vacated
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating the subject street right-
of-way and Public Open Space Easement
