HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 2053 ORDINANCE NO* 2058 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION I OF ORDINANCE NO. 1792 PRESCRIBING RATES TO BE CHAR® CON- SUMERS OF WATER SUPPLIED BY THE CITY OF FORT WORTS WATER WORKS, AND IN ADDITION THERETO, PROVIDING FOR WATER BATES DURING THE BILLING PERIODS BEGINNING APRIL 1, 19110 AND ENDING SEPB 30, 19110; SUCH BATES BEING APPLICABLE ONLY TO BES METAL CONSt=RS USING WATER FOR RESID=TIAL AND IRRIGATIONAL PURPOSES, BE IT ORDLINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CIT? OF FORT WORTS. TEXA$t SECTION I. That Subsection 1 of Ordinance No. 1792 be and the same is hereby amended and, after being so amended, it shall read as follows: The following rates per month, or fraction thereof, shall be the rates charged for water furnished to consumers within the corporate limits of the City of Fort Worth until revised by the City Council of said city by subsequent ordi- nance, to wit: Cubic Zeet Bate Beat: 119 733`1%3 Cu. Fit. .75 Minper mum 100 18 per 100 cubic feet " 110,000 Cw Ft. .15 " " x+3,333-1/3 aul• Ft. .12 " " 133.333-1/3 Cu. no .09 " " 1100,000 CuFt . . •06 " " 5.333.333-1/3 On- no .0525" The above rates shall be the rates charged for water furnished to all persons, firms and corporations, pro- vided, however, that during the billieg periods beginning April 1, 1940 and ending September 30, 1940, residential conr- sumers using water for residential and irrigational purposes as herein defined shall be billed during said billing periods at twenty per cent (20%) less than the above schedule; provided, however, that no monthly billing shall be less than the monthly minimum charge as set out in ordinance No. 1792. SECTION II. Under the terms of this ordinance, "residential consumers of water for residential and irrigational purposes" is meant those using water in or upon the premises of a residence or dwelling for the purpose of sprinkling lawns, shrub- bery, flowers, gardens and any other improvements to the property exterior to the dwelling, and does not include and shall not be applicable to hotels, tenements, commercial establishments, industries and apartment houses having more than two separate apartments or boarding houses having more than three rooms for ocmpancy by tenants; and be it fmrtber provided that in case of apartments and subdivided dwellings for which more than one meter is placed, that the reduced summer rate shall appiy only to the meter of the consumer who maintains and waters the exterior premises of the property. - SECTION III. All charges and assessments due for water to residential convimers as herein defined shall be made and collected in conformity with ordinen ces and regnlatiozl pertaining to the Fort Worth City Water Works. SBOTION IV. This ordinance shall take effect and be in fall force and effect from and after the date of its passage. APPROVED AS TO PORMs City Attorney
