QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, AND ALL OTHER PARTIES INTERESTED, THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF SAID CITY VILL, AFTER THE EXPIRATION OF TWENTY (20) DAYS FROM THE FIRST DATE THAT THIS NOTICE IS PUBLISHED, ADOPT AN ORDINANCE, IN COM- PLIANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLES 1166, 1170 AND 1171 OF THE REVISED CIVIL STATUTES OF THE STATE AND OTHER APPLICABLE LAMS, ORDERING A SPECIAL HOME- RULE ELECTION IN SAID CITY FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUB- MITTING CERTAIN PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE CHARTER OF SAID CITY, AMONG THEM BEING AMENDMENTS PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF THE CORPORATE BOUNDARIES OF SAID CITY SO AS TO ANNEX AND EMBRACE ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TERRITORIES; DESIGNATING PARTICULAR ARW., ALL OR A PART OF WHICH WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE OR- DINANCE SUBMITTING THE PROPOSED AMENDMENTS; AUTHORITY FOR THE CITY COUNCIL TO EXTEND THE CORPORATE BOUNDARIES SO AS TO R[BRACE ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TER.RITOMS BY ORDINANCE; AND SUCH OTHER AMENDMENTS AS MAY BE DE9M NECESSARY OR PROPER, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT MORTH, TEXAS: I. That in accordance with the protisions of Articles 1166, 3.170 and 1171 of the Revised Civil Statutes of Texas and othir applicable laws, the follow- ing notice be given to the qualified voters of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, and all other parties interested: TO THE LEGALLY QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, 'TEXAS, AND TO ALL OTHERS WHOM THESE PRESENTS MAY CONCERN: Notice is hereby given that after the expiration of twenty (20) days from the first date that this notice is published, it is the intention of the City Council of said City to pass and adopt an ordinance containing certain proposed amendments to the Charter of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, which amendments are to be submitted at a special home-rule election in accordance with the protisions of Articles 1166, 1170 and 1171 of the Revised Civil Statutes of Texas and other applicable laws* Il. That at such special home-rile election there shall be submitted the said amendments to be contained in the ordinance for adoption or rejection by the qualified voters in said City. III• That some of the amendments which will be considered by the said City Council, to be incorporated in said ordinance submitting the same, are generally described as follows: 1. • Amendments providing that the corporate boundaries of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, shall be extended so as to embrace and annex certain adjacent and contiguous territories. 2. An amendment authorizing the City Council by ordinance to extend the corporate boundaries of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, so as to embrace and annex adjacent and contiguous territories. 3. Such other proposed amendments as to the City Council may be deemed proper and necessary. IV* That some of the areas that are contiguous and adjacent to the boundaries of the City of Fort Worth, all or a part of which will be included in the ordinance submitting the proposed amendments to a vote of the quali- fied voters, are as follows: 1. The area embracing the Fort Worth Army Qiartermaster Depot, Katy Lake Area, and Major Airport Site west of Lverman, more particularly described as: Beginning at a point in the present city limits, said point being the southeast corner of Block 42, Seminary Hill Addition; thence south to a point; thence east crossing James Avenue, and continuing east along the south boundary line of the Fort Worth Amy Quartermaster .Depot to a point 300 feet Crest of the westerly right of tray line of U. S. Highway No* 81; thence in a southerly direction 300 feet west of and parallel to the westerly right of way line of said U. S. Highway No. 81 to a point west of the southwest corner of the G. W. Main Survey; thence east passing the southwest corner of said G. W. Main Survey and continuing east along the south line of said Main Survey to its- south- east corner; thence north along the east line of said Dain Survey passing its northeast corner, same being the southeast corner of the J. Bursey Survey, and continuing north along the east line of the J. The area embracing both sides of the West Fork of the Trinity River, including Greenwood Cemetery, Brookside Acres, and the area lying between the West Fork of the Trinity River and the easterly, southerly and westerly city limit lines of the City of Riveroaks, more particu- larly described as: Beginning at a point in the present city limit line at the most southerly corner of Block 90, Belmont Park Addition, said point being in the westerly line of Long Avenue and the northerly line of the Jacksboro Highway; thence in a southerly direction along the Westerly line of Long Avenue to a point in the present city limit line of the City of Riveroaks, said line being along the southerly line of the Jacksboro High- way; ighway; thence in a southeasterly direction along the said Riveroaks city limit line. along the southerly line of the Jacksboro Highway and continuing along the said Riveroaks city limit line southerly, westerly and northerly to its intersection with the north line of ;the Lake Worth Dam Road or Meandering Road in the N. Jennings Survey and Trinity Addition, more particularly described as: Beginning at a point in the present city limits, said point being the southeast comer of Block 134, Cham- berlain Arlington Heights Second Filing, also being in the west line of the S. Jones Survey, more particularly described as: Beginning at a point in the present city limit line, said point being in the north line of Meadowbrook Drive and in the east line of the J. B. Haney Survey; thence north along the east line of the J. B. Haney Survey and the east line of the A. Jordan Survey to the northeast corner of said Jordan Survey; thence west along the north line of the A. Jordan Survey to the easterly line of the Meadowbrook Municipal Golf Course; thence along the boundary line of said Meadow- brook Municipp6l. C. & S. F. Fr. Go# spur track to the Trinity Portland Cement Plant and the west line of the J. H.
