AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND EXTINGUISHING HONEYSUCKLE
COURT, A PUBLIC RIGHT-OF WAY, SITUATED IN LOT 13, BLOCK 10,
SYLVAN HEIGHTS ADDITION, AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 1951, PAGE 236 OF THE DEED
RECORDS OF TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, AND CONTAINING
APPROXIMATELY 6,479 SQUARE FEET OF LAND MORE OR LESS,
PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND, PROVIDING
THAT THE CITY SHALL RETAIN ALL EXISTING UTILITIES
EASEMENTS, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS
SECTION 1
That Honeysuckle Court, situated m Lot 13 Block 10 of Sylvan Heights Addition, an
addition to the City of Fort Worth as recorded in Volume 1951 Page 236 of the Deed Records of
Tarrant County Texas, and contaimng approximately 6 479 square feet of land more or less, and
as more specifically described m Exhibits A and `B" attached hereto and incorporated herein
by reference be and the same is vacated and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That the easement to the land in the above-described vacated public nght-of way is
hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3.
All existing utility emergency and drainage easements be shall be retained by the City
until such time all utilities, including drainage, located in that easement are relocated at the
owner's expense or the emergency access easement is no longer required.

SECTION 4.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances m conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5.
That this ordinance shall take effect upon adoption.

HONEYSUCKLE COURT being dedicated by SYLVAN HEIGHTS
ADDITION an add~t~on to the City of Fort Worth, as said Lot 13
appears upon the map thereof recorded in volume 1951 page 236 of the
Deed Records of Tarrant County Texas, and bung more particularly
described by metes and bounds as follows
Begmmng at the southeast corner of Lot 13 m said volume 1951 page
236 the southwest corner Lot 8 m Block 10 of SYLVAN HEIGHTS
ADDITION an addition to the City of Fort Worth as said Lot 8 appears
upon the rnap thereof recorded in volume 1019 page 376 of the said
Deed. Records and being m the north line of Honeysuckle Avenue and
then run west, along the common line of said Lot 13 and said north line
of Honeysuckle Avenue a distance of 42-80i I00 feet to the southeast
and beginning corner of right of way vacation.
Thence west, a distance of 42-801100 feet to the intersection of the said
north line of Honeysuckle Avenue and the west hne of Honeysuckle
Court.
Thence north 00 degrees 40 minutes 00 seconds west, a distance of
175-501100 feet to the beginning of a curve to the left.
Thence along said curve to the left, having a radius of 23 25/100 feet, an
arc length of 21-03/100 feet and a long chord of north 26 degrees 38
minutes 06 seconds west, a chord length of 20-32!100 feet and the
beginning of a curve to the right.
Thence along said curve to the right, having a radius of 29-96/100 feet,
an arc length of 148-38/I00 feet and a long chord of north 89 degrees 20
minutes 00 seconds east, a chord length of 36-991100 feet to the
begimting of a curve to the left.
Thence along said curve to the left, having a radius of 23 25/ 100 feet, an
arc length of 21-OS/100 feet and a long chord of south 25 degrees I6
minutes 22 seconds west, a chord length of 20-34/100 feet.
Thence south 00 degrees 40 minutes 00 seconds east, a distance of

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council
1 Adopt an ordinance vacating Honeysuckle Court located within Lot 13 Block 10 Sylvan Heights
Addition and
2. Waive any and all purchase fee value of the vacated land in accordance with City Policy (M&C G-
15624)
DISCUSSION
A-ward Surveying on behalf of Profile Equities has requested the vacation of the above referenced street
to replat the right-of-way with the adjoining property to develop four single-family dwelling units. The City
Plan Commission recommended approval of this request at its meeting on January 27 2010 An
acceptable replat (FS-009-164) has been received Any existing utilities will be relocated at the applicant's
expense or retained within a designated easement, along with an appropriate plat note that no permanent
structures may be constructed or placed thereon
The City of Fort Worth (City) originally obtained the above mentioned right-of-way through the platting
process The City does not own land under or adjacent to the above referenced public right-of-way Since
no City funds have been expended to purchase property or easement rights collection of the fair market
value or any portion thereof is recommended by staff to be waived
This land is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 2
